Bowlo Sports & Leisure Yamba

Had dinner here last night. It was a Monday, so there was little else on offer in town. My husband had a chicken breast with Yamba prawns, and I had the seafood crepe in a cheese sauce. Unfortunately they forgot to put the cheese into the cheese sauce in my meal. It was an unappetising, bland and watery meal, with a total of one prawn strategically placed on top. The chicken dish was also bland, and both meals were served with overcooked chips although the salad at least was fresh. It wouldn’t have been difficult to have fixed this issue, with a bit of taste-testing and tweaking.The ‘Covid’ warnings seemingly everywhere in the club are very out of date - I was surprised to see this still actively promoted when many of us are aware that all of these measures were found to be meaningless and of little use. I’m giving two stars here, only because the staff were pleasant and helpful.

I was visiting the area. Great club, friendly staff. I had chicken parmigiana it was huge.

My partner and I went for a dinner as recommended by our friends. As we came to Yamba in our Motorhome, it’s really nice that they offered courtesy bus for customers. It’s quite crowded as it’s a Friday night. We made our orders and needed to wait for nearly 30 minutes for the food, but it’s worth waiting. My black and pepper squid was cooked to perfection, I loved it. My partner had the grilled pork sirloin which was also yummy. He just a bit not satisfied with the sauce as it’s not hot enough. The portions were very generous too. We had a nice dinner there, recommended!

What a fantastic place. So much to do for a family. Food was plentiful and affordable. Good customer service.

What a great club so much to do inside and out with family and children oriented places inside with bowls outside and you can play the pokies or have a punt with a great restaurant to eat at the service from staff is top class highly recommend

Good variety of dushes including kids at bistro. Easy parking as well.

What a great Club, friendly staff and great food. The prawn cutlets were large and freshly made and tasted great and the spaghetti marinara was the best I have tasted in a long time.Check the size of the pizza before ordering, you will be surprised at the sizes when it comes out

We spent the weekend at the Rotary Conference at The Bowlo - everyone was Super Helpful - nothing was too much trouble! After the Conference we returned there for Sunday night dinner (not much else was open!!) and we had yet another great meal and service! Enjoyed their discount from staying at the great Aston Motel next door!

Amazing $15, 2 course lunch !I don't normally write reviews but my corned beef in white sauce on a bed mash n veggies were that delicious I had too sit a write a review as that's what I look at when going to lunch and dinner venues! The corned beef melted in your mouth, it was real mash potato not powder mix, and veggies were fresh and crunchy not frozen or over cooked soggy vegetables! I struggled to eat my carrot cake and cream dessert after! Well done to the chef, the staff were all very friendly and polite too!!

What a joke, my wife and I on her birthday looked up the menu on line for dinner.We were both happy with the result, my wife picked the special of chicken advacado and prawns. We had a couple of drinks then went for dinner. Staff were cleaning tables for what reason I have no idea as were first in. They had a pathetic substitute menu which the staff did not why. Four crumbed meals one steak two burgers and a couple of pasta's plus three Pizza. We ordered and the chef was there, my wife said the menu was not near what was offered on line. His reply was We got hammered last night so had to change. He also said there was plenty of other places to go. Chicken, avocado and prawns, what would you run out of. Get real and serve quality stop making excuses. Pathetic
