Barwon Heads Caravan Park

It's a caravan park Google, not a hotel! It's in a great location close to lots of things on the bellerine peninsula. Nice beaches both for swimming, surfing, wineries, restaurants, and only about 25 klms from a major city of Geelong. Caravan Park has both powered and unpowered sites, cabins, and two bedroom houses for rent. I spent four great days in the caravan park.

Arrived late @ 5:30, thought reception was open till 6pm(as what is posted on there website) I was wrong, yes it says 5pm on google search, luckily reception staff were still in the office. Once I was allowed inside, was told my goldstream goldstar rv camper trailer was too big for the site I had booked next to the beach (5.8m) and would be allocated another site 220, which ended up being next to the boom gates (beautiful view I must say). Plus the site was next to the main thoroughfare for patrons heading to the shops and pub. After setting up and trying to get a sleep in on Friday morning instead being woken up from the Friday morning traffic along Blyth drv, yay. Walked down to where I was meant to be camping with the two kids and to my surprise there were vans bigger than mine parked on the nearby sites. My site was meant to be 162. Which is at the opposite end of where I was allocated when arriving. Maybe the reception staff were annoyed with me as they tried contacting me on Thursday afternoon to find out what time I was arriving as I had 4 missed calls from them. But it's pretty hard to answer your phone when you're trying to organise your van, pick up kids from school and then trying so hard to get on the road as quickly as possible and kids nagging you daddy can l use your phone " I have stayed at numerous caravan parks before and I always received confirmation two days before arriving

Such a great spot. I love it here because no two sites are the same, there are so many different pockets and sections. It feels more secluded than just hundreds of vans lined up in rows.Great beach access and only a short walk to the main strip.(Photo is the sunset viewed from the bluff at the top of the park)

Great park on the foreshore. Clean amenities. Walking distance to town. Will be back again. Thank you

Checked in late. Felt very isolated. I didn't see anyone else in park. Keys were left on table which was nice. Cabin very cold, clean but outdated. Bed wasn't very comfortable

Amazing location with daily tides that change this beautiful seaside landscape by the hour. A variety of activities for young and not so young! Walk,swim, fish or just enjoy the congenial peace and the company of fellow campers. Confident in the knowledge that the Barwon Heads Caravan Park Team have your comfort and security in hand and will be looking after your well-being while you rest and relax❤️

Great location with easy walking access to the river and main street. Older style camp grounds, but better than the usual generic caravan park vibe.

Everything was great loved views and service but in the cabin we slept in there was a rat or some sort of animal in the wall we could hear it moving around and running from room to room

Helen at front office was so accommodating as we co-ordinated 5 different family groups staying across various nights, utilising campsite, cabins and the amazing accessible cuttlefish cottage for my elderly parents. Great clean and well appointed cabins, the campsite was level and well drained, campsite showers do have 5 minute time limit for campsites - but are hot and powerful, clean and plenty of facilities. Great location with short stroll to the beach and great local coffee shops and specialty stores. Great river of kayaking and SUPs - as long as you are being mindful of tides.Highly recommend and truly made our family holiday the best ever - for all ages.
