What an amazing place. The council has done a fantastic job in restoring the indigenous flora, making it a beautiful place to enjoy a peaceful walk through nature. Thank you Burnside!

I didn't realise The Common was so large. It is a beautiful space from a very generous benefactor. The area is quite dense in places too.

For a long time this was one of two places in Adelaide where the Black Forest had not been interfered with for development or roads or something else. It was a remnant of the Black Forest that covered the Adelaide Plains. The other one adjacent to Glenside Hospital has gone so this is the last little bit left. As a reserve it stands a good chance of remaining, but with all the exotics planted nearby in home gardens its likely had a few non-locals going through via seed dispersal by the birds etc. It's a shame because it's the last connection with a history of local aboriginal custodianship that saw a plentiful supply of food practically bursting out of the ground like a spring. Still, with council attention it can at least be a testament to the previous custodians of the land.

A beautiful place in the heart of Beaumont surrounded by some magnificent homes. An excellent place for a leisurely stroll, a run, or to walk your dog.You can see glimpses of the city from there. It is a very sought after location to live in.

This is such an amazing little slice of parkland, walking through it you can almost imagine yourself in the middle of the bush. Massively jealous of those that live around it, such an amazing amenity for those in the neighborhood, def considering moving here, once I win the lottery of course

Lucky people having this space. Needs a few stumps for old guys like me to plant our bulbs while kids and dogs explore.
