Mt Thompson Memorial Gardens and Crematorium

My family and I went to collect our fathers ashes and the date written on the cremation certificate was dated a week before our fathers funeral & cremation. Our concern was that the ashes provided belonged to somebody else who was cremated a week before.The representative mentioned it was a default in the system and all clients crematorium dates were defaulting to that date which once we spoke to the manager was false information.We then asked the manager what the identification protocol was and the explanation provided was that there were authorised personnel double checking the deceased details which is more alarming that multiple individuals didn’t note the error on the identification stickers.And neither representative and manager did not apologise. It was very disappointing and distressing for us.

Pretty place, amazing gardens, I'd be happy enough to be placed her. Sorry though, I must admit not impressed on a back to back service's, isn't ideal. People that are grieving need more time please. All guest's we're rushed out with no time to reflect.

Very disappointed as I took my elderly mother to put some flowers down for her parents on Boxing Day and all the gates for car access were closed and locked. There were quite a few people trying to go and visit that were also elderly and had trouble walking.Another man told me to say that they were there to visit a return serviceman and the lady with him had to use a walker.

I had my father cremated over 20years ago & the service this company Mt Thompson Memorial Gardens & Crematorium provided was outstanding & they still do it today as i had my son also cremated recently.The 1 on 1 service they provided was caring & compassionate & it was nice to have just 1 or 2 people from this company deal with our family & when it was time to pick up our loved one i felt so at ease in the waiting room over looking this beautiful place & the lovely lady who bought our loved one in she explained everything to us & let us take our time no rushing no time limit which was nice. So my family friends & i highly recommend this place, & THANK U to everyone that looked after us.

This is one of holland parks most beautiful memorial gardens. Its like a fairy garden so tranquil and serene. My father is here . I love to come here and just sit quitely and wonder around the beautiful gardens .

This is a beautiful, serene final resting place, surprisingly close to the CBD. Mount Thompson is well over a hundred years old and houses many thousands of memorials dating back to the late 1800s. There are two medium sized chaples for services, which are simple and elegant. The office staff are friendly and able to help you with any issue from funeral services through to locating your loved ones final resting place. A very well cared for and maintained memorial gardens.

Beautiful grounds that are routinely maintained. Parking is sufficient and can easily be manoeuvred. Accessibility for the grass sites has improved over the last five years (room to continue to improve though). The grounds keepers are friendly. Quiet and peaceful place.

East Chapel side wall, Columbarium 9, Section 54.We popped back today to say Hi, and everything was as impeccable, just as we remembered it to be on the day nearly 12 months ago only the Service was held at the West Chapel.Love and hugs always.Kevin and Sylvia Holland
