Great place we had good manager ros good ward staff and happiness and good morale teamwork from everyone both wards ,gps nurses, porters, care assistants kitchen cleaners visiting practitioners and cancer care./day surgery/maternity,good educator Sam and a good director of nursing it was a great loss to the hospital to loose this director of nursing she was a great asset to the hospital and recruitment.Best wishes to you all xx

Been in twice for 2 emergencies, great staff great service.Socialized medicine working a treat despite ridiculous conservative rhetoric

Esperance Hospital is country hospital in funding crisis or governed by politics and money that rule over care and treatment of patients. The triage / emergency nurses are 'not present' as they are attending to duties that a ward nurse should do by attending to these patients in the emergency ward. If you're dying or truly sick you may just die in the waiting room as you are not observed. There is two admin staff present but they are not trained to attend nor should they be. Every patient attending emergency seemed to be admitted short term. There is limited doctors practicing in Esperance during the holiday season and if you're visiting, the few local doctors that may be open are fully booked and do not take new patients. I hope that the powers that can make changes and put care and treatment above politics.

Wanted to send out a thank you to all of the staff working in ED on Friday afternoon the 4th of November 2016. I bought my little boy in because I was concerned about an ongoing cough. I just want to say that you are all stars. I know I was there for a bit of a stint (around 6 hours) but I have to say, you guys were working your backsides off! I really enjoyed watching you all work together to treat some very sick patients in a caring and efficant manner. You were all kind and considerate and didn't stop moving. Bravo to you all.

This hospital desperately need more staff. A 4 hour wait for an emergency is unacceptable.I'm giving them 3 stars because it's not their fault and they do the best they can with what they have.

Visitor to Esperance, on a Sarurday was seen to by very nice staff delt with and left armed with meds, and info and totally less stress In Less than 15 minutes. Thanks very much. BRILLIANT service Cheers

We are visiting from Melbourne and had an unexpected visit to the ED. last Sunday with a significant heart problem. The treatment that my husband received from all the nursing staff and doctors was very impressive. They were very efficient and were able to treat and resolve his problem so we can continue our travels. We would like to sincerely thank the team in the Emergency department on Sunday 2nd April.

They desperately need more doctors and nurses who actually care. I had the worst experience of my life. Had to wait over an hour before the doctor finally saw me and gave me adequate pain relief. I was screaming in pain and all the nurse did was give me a few pills and tell me to be quiet. I'm tramatized from the experience, the pain and how I was treated.

Was caravanning and had to visit emergency over Easter. Very caring staff. Even told me to come back for check up before travelling home to Perth. Couldn’t fault the excellent care.
