I asked for a straight cut collarbone length with slightly shorter bits at the front that are just below chin length. The woman who cut my hair cut it at the right length but completely butchered the front, cutting strands at mouth height and unevenly between the two sides (see attached picture). I complained the next day and the receptionist told me that the manager was only in on Thursdays but the haircut was bad and I should get a refund. I came back on Thursday and the manager told me that because it was a service he wouldn't give me a refund. The woman who cut my hair ended up giving me cash from her wallet and apologising. Terrible management and very unprofessional.

I went there for a colour, cut and blow dry and the colour was good. However, I asked for a trim and my hair was near my hips and the girl who cut my hair cut it to above my chest. Without even consulting me. We spoke about how much to cut before then she did the opposite.It was like she struggled cutting such long thick hair and accidentally cut it short. She went back and forth so many times. Seemed like she stuffed up and needed to go back and forth to correct her mistakes.I felt to upset to say anything which I regret! My hair is not even sitting correctly. Also, the wash was also super uncomfortable, the girl was scratching me with her fake nails and splashing water everywhere.I feel they need more training!!!This should have been recognised by her and she should’ve apologised and I should have not paid for the cut.Furthermore, the staff aren’t overly friendly or professional for the money that you spend.Almost two weeks later and I’m still so frustrated by this experience. Will never go back.I hope nobody ever has to experience that!

Not a great hair salon, if youre looking for quality service. The Chinese guy who did my hair was in a rush as soon as his other customer walked in. He didn’t even wash the dye off properly, as I could still see and feel the products in my hair. My forehead and ears and neck were very stained from the dye, this never happened with other salons. I also find it very unprofessional that they kept chatting in Chinese to one another.

I done my hair cuts and colour in this salon, I really appreciate their professional services. Also, the hairdresser very respectful to me. I'm very like their services and happy to share with my friends. Will defenitely come back.

I found this salon in 2017 at Broadway (entrance from either the outside or inside of the shopping centre), located on the end of the block where Rebel Sport is.Staff are extremely friendly. I hadn’t done colour in the past due to a bad experience, but noticed after my first cut at Hair Talk there that a lot of customers getting colour done too, so booked myself in for colour ahead of a holiday. I’ve since done two different balayage colour and trusted the Hair Talk team to help me with highlights for my wedding overseas this year!Dee and Alistair were great, that said other members of the team have helped with my colour or cut too and I was happy!

Absolutely terrible. I asked for a hair color that is already on my hair which is brown. She without any communication used black to color my root. Now i have 2 colors. My root ( a good 4 cm)is black and the rest is brown. I need to add that the gray hair near my ears are not covered either because she put color on them in the end.... I came here because a few years ago they had a couple of Korean hair dressers who were really good and also my haor dresser was fully booked. What a mistake I made.I have to add that now I see why people were looking at me. My shirt has a lot of stains considering that she even poured water into my ear when was washing my hairs.I never write bad reviews for businesses but some really deserve that.

I took my partner here yesterday so he can have a relaxing and great haircut experience haircut for himself as he’s been working hard and deserves it but unfortunately the whole experience at this salon was horrible and disappointing.My partner and I was very friendly and greeted the staff who approached us.I even complimented the LED Light desk that they had but there was no reply back from her but it was fine but the worst thing what my partner has gone through yesterday.As always my partner was friendly and he always love conversations to everyone.He loves learning about different cultures that’s why he asks questions,not to offend but to learn and make a conversation.The hairstylist had a Hongkong background and because my partner asks a few questions about the country and China and he’s wishing her well and all.Suddenly,she raised her voice and told him that if you don’t know anything,don’t ask.My partner and I told her that he’s only asking to learn and not to offend her.My partner has changed the topic to change her mood then she is still being rude and being unprofessional.She even made a comment that “Vegans are not Fun”,they don’t eat meat when my partner asks if she was vegan or not.I actually find it disappointing to hear even though I just became vegan recently as I would never make that comment to anyone even their non vegan.She has to think that she needs to respect everyone equally.We didn’t say anything that we are recently vegan because of the attitude she was showing us and we didn’t go down to her level.My partner had tried to change topic and tried to compliment her to change her vibe and mood towards us most especially towards him.She was cutting his hair and she was doing it roughly and it wasn’t pleasant to see in front of my own two eyes.She was getting upset when my partner asking her to do his hairstyle and just telling her that he wants to get his hair trimmed more.I understand that she can get upset of the conversation but as a hair stylist,they have to stay calm and professional.I was asking my partner a few times if he was alright and this lady continuing the bad treatment to my partner.This is one of our local hairdressers and we tried to show support here especially my partner as he’s been here a few times but he never experienced this bad treatment before.The hair stylist kept asking “Do you want product or not”?sarcastically even my partner already did and when she actually applied the product/wax on his hair,she was rough. I asked my partner if he was fine and he kept his calm despite of all this.The worst thing is the other staffs were all watching when this was happening to us,no one has stepped in to stop this inappropriate behaviour but instead they were gossiping behind our backs with their customer.One is just standing and gossiping as well and gossiping about us even there was a customer waiting and the other one was colouring the other customer’s hair and gossiping about us.It was horrible and I don’t even know how inappropriate and disrespectful everyone can be.I told my partner for us to go and we both stayed calm and collected and paid despite of this bad and worst treatment that everyone has given us.No apologies were given to us from anyone in the shop.Hopefully that the management,can do something about this.Great customer service should be a MUST.A healthy,welcoming and friendly should be given to all customers.Because if this happened to us,definitely it can happen to anyone and we don’t anyone else to experience this.It was the worst feeling especially during the pandemic that you are trying to do a good deed helping local businesses and also to treat yourself.There’s no harm someone to say professionally to change conversation than pretending that you are fine with it and participating in the conversation and suddenly being rude, inappropriate and rough towards your customers and doing that in front of someone’s partner/family member is not on as well.

My hairdresser cancelled on me and I was able to get an appointment at Hair Talk last minute on Friday. It was a big job - full head of foils, cut and blow dry. My wedding is in a couple of weeks and I'm flying OS on the weekend so it was a last minute scramble.I was stressed out plus I've had my hair badly damaged by hairdressers before so I was a bit of a nightmare client questioning every process. I had a lovely French lady named Victoria do my hair and she did a fantastic job. It took 4 hours so both her and the manger worked back until my hair was done.Thank you for my lovely hair do, I'm sure it will look amazing in my wedding photos.

I had a lovely experience at Hair Talk this afternoon. Dee (spelling?) was professional and friendly. We chatted and had easy conversation while she cut my hair. I just went in for a simple trim, but she was happy to discuss exactly what I wanted and explained what she was going to do before she did it. The price was quite good for what I got, as well! I can't speak for anything more high maintenance (dye, difficult cuts, curly hair, etc), but for a simple and quick haircut, this is definitely a great place to come.

I was pleased to be quickly fitted in for a booking on a Monday. I got cut and colour which was fine and good value for money. However I found it difficult to communicate with my stylist as she did not seem to have much English. The trouble was how she touched my head when washing. Her touch was so soft it felt like worms crawling on my scalp. It was unbearable. As she couldn’t understand what the problem was I asked her to stop ‘massaging’ my head which she did. When it came to the cut somehow we managed to communicate by gestures.
