If mental health matters.. don't go here. After months of him make me try different medications, when he gets back to the one he started with, and I asked if he knows what his doing.. he replied with he can no longer help me.I'm not a racist but I'm pretty sure this guys just printed off a certificate in Sudan and come here so here he didn't need to work a proper job.

If you're looking at reviews then I'll bet you got recommended Dr Akinbiyi by your GP like I did. Fact is, throughout all my interactions with Wallace Avenue Specialist Suites, I've never felt any kind of doctor patient relationship. I feel as though when all is said and done, he has done nothing but barebones medication changes after an incredibly short phone appointment and generic survey. For some, that may be enough, I won't begrudge anyone who appreciates the brevity and only needs to address those small changes. But it's a far cry from good service. And with how important mental health is, I'd recommend anyone search for a psychiatrist more specialized and positively reviewed than this one.

To be honest, the reviews of this so called clinic are bad and current .Don't waiste your trauma and pain to the worst unprofessional and evil people who never help you or know anything about therapy..I've never ever written a bad comment ever about a psychiatric clinic or GPBut for the record I agree with all the reviews that are honest .I'm not happy I had to give 1 star they deserve no stars.

I was a loyal patient of the consultant psychiatrist at this clinic since 2012. I work and I will attend appointments as needed or if I really feel like I need an urgent review.I hadn’t had an appointment since late 2020 but I still had an up to date referral. I even had an appointment for 28th sep 2022. Due to some circumstances in my life, I wanted an appointment to be brought forward. My husband called on my behalf to try and help advocate for this. The reception staff kept telling him it’s “impossible” and spoke over him repeatedly which made him annoyed and also as we were driving, she kept telling him she couldn’t hear him. This resulted in him talking louder to the point he was practically yelling into the phone. The receptionist took this as “verbal aggression “ went and reported him to the consultant. I received a call back and spoke with the doctor and he says that due to my husbands “aggression” he (the doctor) will cease seeing me as a patient. I tried to explain to him that I did nothing wrong (never ever been aggressive in my life to any doctor or services) and that I shouldn’t be punished and I require his assistance now, but essentially he did not want to discuss further and told me that was it and to call triage if I really need assistance.

I met doctor Akinsola in the hospital, and he saved me and cured me from severe depression, he listened and supported and always said that I would be cured when my brain spoke and convinced me otherwise. thank you doctor for the words of support and the right treatment. I am recovering and every day my psyche is stronger and stronger. I even working part time now.I was in the hospital for two months with severe depression in 2022 december february. I went to Wallace Avenue specialist suites to see Dr Akinsola Akinbiyi and cannot recommend enough avoiding this clinic and Dr. I booked an appointment a few months in advance to talk about ADHD and between making my booking and the appointment heard nothing from them. On the day of the appointment I traveled in and went into the clinic and was told for the first time it would be a telehealth appointment. Being made to leave I went to do the appointment in a park. The appointment itself was 20 minutes late and of very low quality. I listed ADHD symptoms for 5 minutes before the doctor changed to doing a K10 and clearly reading from a list of mental health questions even reading over some questions multiple times. No discussion was given to ADHD despite that being the only reason I went in. After about 30 minutes the doctor ended the appointment and told me what we were going to do from then but I could barely understand and then no effort was made to help organise the next steps which were things I did not want to do.I left feeling a ton worse then I went in. No one with mental health issues should even consider this clinic or doctor. Dr Akinsola Akinbiyi came off cold and uncaring and I felt as though I received no real care and was not prioritised at all, and was treated more as a source of money than someone seeking help from a doctor. For this 30 minute appointment I was charged $360 which I feel was completely rediculous for the time and complete lack of care or compassion.

Was told someone would call me in 10 days. Had to follow up multiple times and by the time I could finally talk to someone they told me they had changed the policy to not accepting ADHD referrals. Admin staff just repeated a line like a robot which was completely unempathetic and borderline insulting. At least speak like you're talking to another human being who is struggling with something.

I have been seeing Dr Akinsola for a number of years now and found him very good at what he does including his outside work activities in hospitals. He is late sometimes because he treats each patient differently and makes sure they are ok before leaving, I certainly wouldn't want Dr Akinsola pushing me out the door when I was in a dark spot for something as simple as time. I understand that we all have different needs and some do take longer than others so I don't mind waiting sometimes. Good work Dr Akinbyi and please keep it up. I have had no issues with reception staff and they are pleasant and helpful.

Absolute joke, reception staff are simply rude and dismissive, half the time you can't get a hold of anyone when you need to. Almost 2 months since appointment and still waiting for rebate and other things to be completed.

Great doctors, if you can get onto them. When you call, There is 3.5min of information to hear before you speak to a person.
