NRMA Warrnambool Riverside Holiday Park
This park is awesome. The only down side is a lot of locals stay here and still go to work, so I was woken up everyday with cars doors slamming and cars starting between 5.30am and 6am. It is a quiet park after 10.30pm which is lovely for families with young children.Super surprised at the lack of helmets worn by the children riding their bikes in the park and the lack of rule enforcement around this. I saw two bikes colide and no helmets, this could have ended very differently. The park is so clean and tidy. It has to be one of the cleanest we have been too. Would come back again.

Spent 3 nights at a powered site. The site itself was extremely small. So small we couldn’t even wind out our awning on the caravan. There are larger sites and in hindsight I should of asked to be moved but being school holidays I thought the park would be fully booked. The pool had also overflowed causing the water to run down through the campsites making it extremely soggy under foot. The amenities are great with lots of room, clean and good water pressure however a fair walk depending on which site your allocated so if you can afford it, choose an en-suite site. The most disappointing thing for mine was while watching the footy of a night in the recreation room, we were kicked out as they close at 8pm. I understand closing the gaming section of the rec room but to be denied access to the tv lounge also??? I normally would of continued watching at my site but given the wifi and phone service is non existent other than when in the rec room this was not achievable. The location of the park is probably the most pleasing thing about our stay given it’s only a 5 minute drive into town while being on a river.Would I stay again? I’ll explore other alternatives first when visiting Warrnambool again.

Do not expect to have any Wifi but also poor phone reception here. It is woeful. No checking emails, no streaming services. Staff said management don't care about fixing the issue. Wifi in recreation room is sketchy at best and you have to be in an area with screaming kids in the pool areas to get any work done. So they advertise complementary wifi but it is useless. Very disappointed. Also was sent photos of our cabin booking and in the photos was a coffee pod machine. No coffee pod machine to be found. If I had have known I would have brought one for the week. So don't advertise things you can't supply!!Also please fix the step on cabin 27 before someone falls through it.

Drove to Warrnambool fromMelbourne for a memorial service for a family friend and NRMA Holiday Park was the recommendation by others. With the Hopkins River only a 2 minute walk away, it’s ideal for anything related to water, fishing and walking.Michelle, Renée, Monique were our contact points at NRMA and cannot fault their work ethic, customer service and commitment to ensuring their customers are satisfied.Booking was taken over the phone and confirmed later - nice touch.$122 a night for a cabin that sleeps 5 people including linen. The master room is a double but seemed generous in size. Linen was soft, clean and suitable for weather (summer heading into autumn).Check in was easy and the welcome information covered off everything we needed to know.Cabin was a good size for 2, the room was scrupulously clean and had all the essentials right down to a hairdryer, iron and ironing board. However, my partner had asked for a tv in the bedroom and there wasn’t one. The caretaker, Monique went above and beyond and arranged for a TV her own home plus remote and a long coax cable to make it work. We set it up in minutes and boom! we were ready to watch the Grand Prix highlights. Can’t thank Monique enough for her (and husband) for going above and beyond in making our stay memorable.Kitchen well appointed with fridge, stove and microwave. Plus all the safety features of fire extinguisher and fire blanket.Teabags, coffee and sugar sachets supplied and a UHT milk container.Without using up my word count, I can say that this place has something for everyone.Indoor and outdoor pool. TV room. Computer screens, table tennis, billiard table, shuffle board, games and bike repair station.Mini golf, playground, extra family toilet facilities. With an extensive laundry, BBQ’s, outdoor dining areas, I could easily live here. In fact here are quite a few permanent residents in one section of the park.Plus whether you’re staying in one of the well appointed Jayco cabins, bringing your own camper or even a tent, this place caters for everyone.Ideal for kids to ride their bikes - it’s flat and plenty to explore.Notes: Car parking is next to cabin. BBQ on the deck along with a picnic table. Pool is great and all other recreational offerings are worthwhile.Didn’t ask about disability friendly but have a feeling they’ll have covered this off as well.Only downside is the wifi isn’t great but worth walking around the complex because you’ll find that sweet spot but they assured us that they were look to get it upgraded.I travel - a lot! 70+ countries staying in -1 ⭐️ to 6 and 7 ⭐️.The continual improvement of the site is progressive and takes time. Anyone who whinges about the small things needs to take a reality check - we are so fortunate in this country. Get a grip people. We are the lucky country. Stop complaining about the size of a sink or not enough soap.Highly recommend and thank you to the women who make this one of the most desirable places to stay in the west.

To be honest, we are very disappointed this time around. Last time we camped here and loved everything which brought us choosing this place once again. Overall service - cleanliness- quality - camp rule enforcement has gone absolutely downhill. Several days, toilet or kitchen cleaner didn’t show up, female toilet without lights, empty tissue, dirty used (!!!) left inside showers , kitchen without necessary stuffs, overflowing bins … a total havoc! We understand the short stuff issues, however, this shouldn’t be the excuse - don’t think big4 charged any less during this holiday period??

Great park, easy access for the van, facilities were well kept. Being out of town and winter, the park was quiet and we basically had the indoor heated pool to ourselves.Staff were wonderful and friendly, organizing a site without a booking.

Unfortunately for us, we stayed during a time where the park seemed to be struggling with staff shortages. There were no lights in the female amenities block for the first 2 nights of our stay. It was dimly lit by a lamp. This was sort of a relief In that the amenities were absolutely filthy, being poorly lit meant it was less obvious. I don't want to unfairly review the park, as I know some people are pigs and think it's acceptable to trash shared facilities. However for them to be left like this for multiple days is unacceptable, this is not a budget holiday park. I did alert staff to the state of the bathrooms and it was apparent I hadn't been the only one. Apart from the above, the park is lovely. The powered sites are well maintained, some with astro turf. The pools were enjoyed by the kids, just be aware there is limited shade, so I suggest bringing your own umbrella or beach shelter. Shared recreation room is basic and coins are required. The laundry facility is great. Wifi is terrible, but not really an issue for us as there is plenty for kids to do with the pools and jumping pillow. The park ran some great activities for the kids during the school holidays.

The park is clean, comfortable & so many activities for both adults & children. I don't use camp kitchens when we travel, however I had no hesitation to use this one, very clean. Highly recommend a stay at this park. Only 3km to the main town. Also big shout out to the staff, in particular Chris who was whizzing around cleaning the kitchen. If we travel through again, we will come back to stay
