Magic Door & Gate Service & Installation

We purchased a full gate, controller and motor comission for our commercial complex. At first they sounded great and seemed good to deal with. Then when the gate was fully installed we were told there was no backup battery, on a commercial premises!!!!! Then within warranty we were told that problems with the gate were due to subsiding of the concrete. We have had nothing but trouble with our installation and are now looking at another company to look after our gate for us and to fix it to how it should have been to start with. We would not recommend this company unfortunately.

MDI are an amazing company to deal with. I have been using them for 20 years and I wouldn't go anywhere else.

New Magic Door door motor is great. Very quiet. Service man was very helpful

Paid $179 for on the job training" for their inept technician only to be informed that the sliding gate motor was unable to be repaired and that a new one will be required due to a part that was no longer available - only to later find out from one of their staff that the part is indeed available

Terrible service and grossly overpriced. $179 call out fee. $250 for a part and still gate not fixed. Shocking.

We had been MDI customers for 13 years since building our home in 2009. In 2022 we required urgent repair to our gates.I am unsure what has changed in this business in recent times it is no longer the business it once was....frustratingly due to utter lack of customer service we recently experienced we will never engage MDI again - ridiculous wait time for urgent service appointment - insensitive customer service staff - changed appointment times hours before due to arrive more than once - exorbitant service price increases - seemingly total lack of awareness towards long time customers...to say we are disappointed is an understatement. It is a shame to see what was once a reliable and professional business that offered great service decline into one than is no longer worth it to remain a customer.

Installed new gate motor 2 weeks ago. Unit has failed will not attend or back up their product. Do not use this company.

Worst service ever. Months to get out. Forgot my job repeatedly then finally show up, charge a fortune and don't even fix anything. Didn't send a quote for repairs either. Extremely disappointing.

I had a motor replaced after an initial service. The service technician was fantastic. He was prompt, professional and installed the motor in minimum time-faultless. Unfortunately the same cannot be said when it came to the office admin staff. All I required was a receipt - I called in to collect - the receipt was incorrect - was 200 less than the correct amount. The young office girl was polite, but was flustered and refused to give me a full receipt blaming the office system. I was angry but composed - increasingly frustrated by the continued refusal to provide me with the full receipt. Two other older staff members sat nearby like shags on rocks not stepping in to assist and diffuse a increasingly frustrated customer. I even asked one to help but -Im only a salesman". The young girl disappeared upstairs - in return came a her immediate supervisor who handed me a printout of the invoice - but then commenced dressing me down for being angry with the office girl. Showed untrained staff

A big thank you to Steve and his off sider in Service and Spares. They have been most helpful in getting my Easyslider Gate motor up and going.At all times they have fielded my call(s) and or in shop service with patience, perseverance and professionalism.
