Surf Coast Torquay
Very popular but the beaches here are the best in the world. Also plenty of restaurants and cafes for after you had your swim.

The inaugral Surfcoast Walk guided tour was conducted by the Great Ocean Road Coast Committee (GORCC) this weekend. And what a memorable experience it has been. The hike was conducted over three days from Point Impossible (8km north of Torquay) to the Split Point Lighthouse at Aireys Inlet, an overall distance of around 43km. Comfortable overnight cabin accommodation was had at the Torquay and Anglesea Foreshore Caravan Parks with breakfasts and a gastronomical dinner at the Captain Moonlight restaurant in Anglesea included. The event was hosted by Bruce and Terrie the managers of the Torquay Caravan Park and accompanied by Indie, Pete (the possum man) and Corrina Eccles (a direct descendant from the indiginous Wadawurrung people who are the custodians of this beautiful area). The knowledge of the local flora and fauna and the indiginous cultural history that was conveyed throughout the hike was an invaluable adjunct to this event which did bring about a greater understanding and appreciation for those who took part. This was an all inclusive and extremly well organised event which, based on its success, is likely to be repeated. Congratulations to GORCC for the initiative and to all who had a part in putting together.

Beautiful beach and perfect for families. The water was great and the views were lovely too. Just watch out as the tide seems to come in really suddenly. Our things along with many other beach goers got soaked because the water suddenly rushed in.

Great swimming spot. Signage not to leave valuable items in cars as it's a thief hot spot.

Beautiful beach and definitely great surfing waves .. But, Not so much for kids or those who can't swim because of the winds and strong waves.Above of all, it has a wonderful mesmerizing landscape and well looked after facilities.
