Nice food, great location and historic building.Service was lacking, people waiting for 10 mins to be acknowledged, sales assistant missed people waiting in turn and served people whom just turned up first.Tables dirty with previous customers dishes and food scraps.Understand though was busy lunch traffic and only the one staff member behind counter.

We waited in line a line for about 15 minutes to get served. And then the pie wasn't even hot! Need to go into a microwave before eating. No change in the till and had to run out to get more milk. Very disorganised unfortunately.

Love to stop in here it's a great bakery with very fresh pies, bread, and salad rolls. Eat in is comfortable and there are clean toilets. Friendly service and nice coffee.

Matt’s Bakery Cafe
A popular bakery and cafe located at the eastern side of town. Locals seem to like visiting this bakery. Staff are friendly. There appeared to be no COVID-safe policy here. We couldn’t see any hand sanitizer. We ordered two potato pies - both were no warm, they were cold. Coffee and hit chocolates were good. There are toilets located inside the bakery. Plenty of parking on-the street.

Where to start? This is a must if you are passing through Crookwell or just make a point of visiting Crookwell to visit this wonderful bakery/cafe. Their pies, breads, sandwiches/rolls, and cakes are absolutely amazing. As for their coffee - I have never had a coffee as good as this anywhere and I've had a lot of coffee over the years. It was simply the best! It's a simple country bakery but the coffee, food, and service are outstanding. Thanks to Shenoah for a fantastic experience.
