Trudy Vains Birth Doula

When it came to finding a hypno birthing class, from the first phone call I had a feeling we were going to be in the best hands and I was definitely correct. Trudy is welcoming, flexible, compassionate and supportive, all the things we needed to be embarking on this crazy pregnancy journey.We (my husband and I - definitely would say you and your birth partner need to complete the course together) have both learnt so much and feel not matter what happens during labour now we can navigate it together with a variety of tools... I honestly cant imagine not having done this course!We also cant thank Trudy enough for everything from hypno birthing to, pregnancy yoga and will be looking forward to mums and buns yoga to!

We loved having Trudy on our team at the birth of our child, and her support in the months leading up to it. She will be on your advocate, no matter what you choose and you will absolutely benefit from having her be a part of your pregnancy and birthing journey. Trudy is trained in Spinning Babies" and her knowledge is like gold."

Trudy was a guiding light and positive energy with me during my pregnancy. Going to her pregnancy yoga classes was the main highlight of my week! I knew Trudy was a Doula, but In the beginning I didn’t really comprehend the full gift of support, guidance and comfort having her by my side during pregnancy and birth would provide. She doesn’t take the place if your partner, she is there to support you both and be there however she needs to help. This will be different for every couple as every birth is unique. Towards the end of my pregnancy I was beginning to get very anxious about the birth and it felt right when Trudy asked if I need her as my Doula to say yes. I didn’t quite know in what capacity I needed her but I knew I wanted her by my side for reassurance. After an unsuccessful induction I gave birth via caesarean section. Trudy was supportive of my decision and was there leading up to the surgery to make sure I was okay and when we came back to the room with our gorgeous baby in arms. Although I knew caesarean section is major surgery i didn’t appreciate how awful I would feel post op. Having Trudy there in those first hours after surgery was a blessing to have her by my side to calm me down while my daughter was having daddy cuddles. Trudy stayed as long as we needed into the night until she knew that the three of us were okay. I absolutely recommend Trudy as an amazing addition to your birth support team!

I met Trudy when I was in the early stages of my pregnancy to decide if having a doula was something that Jordan, my partner, and I would be interested in. We knew immediately after that this was an avenue we wished to take. There was an instant connection between us and I felt great vibes coming from her. I wanted that positive and happy spirit at my birth! I began to attend pregnancy yoga class straight away and was taken away by the fact that Trudy could actually help relieve all those aches and pains that come with carrying a child. Towards the end of my pregnancy I started to attend twice a week because it made me feel so much better. Jordan and I attended Trudy's Spinning Babies and Active Birth class which we gained so much knowledge and understanding from. It was nothing like the classes the hospital gives you. When the day came for me to birth my son Trudy was an absolute necessity! I honestly don't know how anyone could have a baby and not have a Trudy with them. I felt so calm and collected having her by my side. She knew exactly what to say and do at every moment, even when things started to go south I felt so supported and loved. She helped Jordan help me without making him feel pushed back at all. Everyone in my birth suite worked as a perfect team. I can honestly say I had a perfect labour thanks to Trudy.

Trudy is such an amazing person to be around. I loved doing yoga with her throughout my second pregnancy and her presence during labour and birth was irreplaceable. She is supportive, knowledgeable and always has your best interests at heart <3

Trudy helped eased my fears and become prepared in the months leading up to the birth of my first child. She taught me about hypno-birth, and I also attended pregnancy yoga classes once a week. Trudy is a patient teacher, and is so friendly and caring. She genuinely wants to help, and this comes across in the way she speaks to you. Definitely recommend her services.

My first pregnancy, I attended pregnancy yoga and during that time Trudy was completing her training as a Birth Doula. I couldn’t have asked for a better support person! She was so warm and accomodating... THANK YOU! The techniques she taught me, I carried with me into my second birth and it was the most incredible experience of my life. I felt so empowered and looking back now I feel so proud... I wish she was there to see it! xx
