Craig and the team at P.R.King & Sons Melbourne, provided prompt and professional service in the removal of a Stannah Stairlift - which needed to be removed within a few hours. The Stairlift was originally installed in my grandparents house, and worked well for many years, allowing my grandparents to stay in their family home for many years without having to worry about the stairs.

I have been dealing with Craig, the Melbourne Manager from PRKing.For starters, the lift has been operational only since last Tuesday, which is a cause for some gratification after six months of idleness.The lift is not well suited to use in our context (with a range of different people needing to use it). It is far too complex. (In addition, it is affected by being outside, although this was always known and obvious.) A purpose made cover might help, but will be quite costly.I have indicated the unsuitability of the product to Craig as recently as last week and have received an email in which he essentially agrees with me.PRKing has been generally been responsive to our calls although they did drag their feet on the follow up work resulting from changes required by the Fire Department for an emergency exit. Craig went on holidays and nothing seemed to happen until he returned, but then he moved very quickly to have the job finished. He has reassured me by email that I only have to contact him if we have further problems and he will see that we receive prompt attention. We were guided by our architect in the choice of the lift. It was a poor choice of product, and has barely worked consistently for more than 2 weeks at a time in 5 years of operation.

Presales was great. However, less than a year in, the charger died on a Saturday morning. Called them and was told there’s a $600 charge for weekend. I’d understand $100-$200 but $600? Beware this.

We are very happy to recommend P R King to anyone considering having a stair lift installed. We are absolutely thrilled with ours which was installed by Jayden and Jamie. I can’t speak highly enough of them both. They were an absolute credit to your company. They were both polite, professional, friendly and so patient in very clearly explaining the operation of the stair lift. They explained all about the after care/servicing and call outs if necessary. They also cleared everything up when they had finished and left no mess whatsoever. We were very impressed with them. Such great service!The stair lift itself is amazing, so quiet and smooth, very simple and easy to use and a lot more sleek and unobtrusive that we imagined, even though we had seen it in the magazine and website and had a goodidea of how it would look. Now it’s installed for real and we are so happy with it.Again, we can’t express our appreciation enough, many thanks. The customer service from start to finish has been above and beyond.
