Liberty Plains Motel - Lidcombe Accommodation

I stayed at Liberty Plains motel for two nights. Friendly and helpful staff, close to everything that I needed. The bed was very comfortable, no complaints about the motel. I can't stand the smell of cigarette smoke unfortunately late at night/early morning people were smoking in the car park near my room, the door to our room didn't have a weather seal so the smoke just came right through.

We had vooked this motor inn, not realising it was the wrong one. And considering they dont offer refunds, i am very happy with the customer service that Max provided.In no way possible were refunds accepted.Max could have said no but understood my situation and gave me a full refund.Very happy Max!Thankyou so much for being easy to deal with!JamesPCD

Standard motel. Beds are very comfortable, have stayed here twice, if you're lucky you'll get one of the rooms with the renovated bathrooms. Lots of different room/bed options, my friend and I were able to get a cheap one that still had 2 beds. Was a great location near Lidcombe station that works perfectly if you're staying because you're going to an event at the Olympic Parks. Does have some wear and tear, some things broken or missing, but we weren't too fussed. The floors weren't super clean the first time we stayed, but spotless this recent time. It's a lot cheaper than staying at any of the hotels on site at the Olympic Parks. Lots of hot water. We didn't utilise housekeeping so cannot comment on that however my friends and I will stay here again if another concert comes up that we want to go to. Great for short term stays.

Pros: Friendly reception staff. 10 minute walk to Lidcombe train station & free parking.Cons: overpriced, tired & dirty room. Dried urine on toilet & floor, mouldy shower & screen. Sink plug was broken & showed the sink drain full of gunk & hair. There was rubbish under the sink cabinet & crumbs around the fridge. Shoe & dirt found under the bed & random bag in the wardrobe. Fridge cupboard door was hanging off, punch holes in the bathroom door & the bolt didn’t line up with the front door. I mentioned all this to the staff member who was apologetic. However, the high price does not reflect the poor quality of the accommodation. Very disappointed.

Aircon was full of so much dust probably years worth then I’ve complained about the shower as when we checked in the shower was full of duct tape and was really wobbly and loose I complained to the reception and they said that it wasn’t like that before which was clearly a lie we did not touch the shower and basically they say that we did it so not Happy we ask for milk they say come down and get it incredibly not happy this was room 26 also no train station or public transport nearby other then that room was alright

Very disapointing, cracked and peeling paint to walls ceiling. Door also paint peeling off. Joinery unit broken. Vanity unit missing handle on door. Mould in shower and damaged screen and fixed panel loose.Loose cables hanging out of TV. Fridge is tiny. Appears to leak water by the stain in the cupboard.Website makes room look good, but this yellow oachre paint is ugly on the walls.I have not been given any info on wifi.I had to walk 2 blocks to find a restaurant.Very disapointing and will not be staying again.Its very old and poor condition! Bed is only a double, my feet hang out the end!!

I was looking for cheap accommodation in Sydney for a single night, and most places were charging $130-140 for a single bed, shared bathroom and a lot of very average reviews. I decided to stay at Liberty Plains Motel which booked via Agoda was $118 for a Queen Bed and private bathroom.The room was very clean, bed was surprisingly comfortable and the staff were polite and cheerful. Now my 5 star review is based on the price compared to the competition... Obviously its not a $300+ a night 5 star hotel, but if you are looking for somewhere cheap to stay I highly recommend.

If you are needing a bed in a convenient location at a reasonable price, then I would recommend Liberty Plains. However, we stayed for several nights and the experience was less than satisfactory.The included Wi-Fi and Foxtel were not available for the entire stay. We spoke to reception several times about the Wi-Fi and were dismissed. It seemed like we were the problem. After several days we found a sympathetic person who said it should have been attended to immediately but the technician could not fix the problem until after we departed.The cleaners should be reporting problems for maintenance and checking the rooms thoroughly. We found dirty underwear in a bedroom, blocked bathroom sink, sticky doors and a paper wasp nest on a window but I didn’t feel welcome when reporting these and other matters.Note that biscuits are off the menu and bathmats are not included.
