Burraga Dam
Burraga Dam or Thompsons Creek Dam is located north east from the village of Burraga. The dam has rainbow trout, golden & sliver perch, redfin and carp for those that like to fish. Below the dam wall is the remains of a fish hatchery, although it is mostly overgrown with blackberry. The dam was constructed to service the Burraga Copper mine which started operation in 1879.

Hume Dam
Turns out that this dam was a bigger deal than The Sydney Opera house at one time. Great place to have a walk and spend a couple of hours with your kids, family or by yourself. The sunsets here are good and it's a cool place to walk around and learn a bit about the history of this place. If you could see a gate opening or water discharging at some point, it is a great sight. You can feel the amount of water pressure gushing through a small opening and it is quite exciting. You can walk along on the top of the bridge and around the reservoir too.

Beautiful place for a lunch stop, lovely open space picnic area and has a BBQ facility. Gorgeous scenery and wildlife to see and a short and sweet walk to the dam up hill.

A beautiful and calm place with a nice view near Albury. Good for picnic or take a break from Driving when on a road trip. Walk along the dam wall also nice.

Great spot for a lunch break. Little too much trash and vandalism to make for comfortable overnight. Apparantly local kids also had a party, including 4WDing up the rocks, breaking bottles lighting fires in the catchment and breaking off trees!

Burraga Dam
Burraga dam (also known as Thompson’s creek dam) is a nice little camp ground with some amenities (toilet and picnic tables). Can be busy during peak times.
