A beautiful forest walk leading to and from there. Unfortunately the actual weir car park/ rest area has been taken over by a load of hippies-on the two areas we walked through- they were obstructing the whole area. There were at least 20-30 vehicles, with loads of hippies who don’t look like they have washed in a fortnight milling around and big dogs off leash. Very disappointing as we could not use the area on a hot day twice with our two kids.

Holidaying close by the owners of this bnb suggested this walk. I initially was worried that every one would have their dogs off leash. However i was pleasantly surprised. Some did but as soon as they saw another dog they quickly put them back on until we passed. Made for this lovely walk to be so much more relaxing. Friendly locals and lovely scenery. Was a great way to start our morning. Highly recommend
