Hand surgeon

Hello My Name is Aimee Stromeier , I came Dr Andrew Myers through the Orthopaedic Outpatient Hand Clinic back in November 2017 at John Hunter Hospital after I took a heavy dive over the top of our dog ( who has passed away ) this was in the June I was reviwed by Dr Myers as they were worried about a left Scaphoid fracture in which thankfully has not been found and turned out it was just really bad soft tissue damage instead , I gotta say if I ever needed a hand surgeon again I would save up for a whole year and go back see him this time in his rooms at Hunter Hand Surgery Centre in New Lambton Heights as sadly he resigned from JHH now, I only met him once but before this his registrars helped me and had me sent for a MRI and seen me 2 weeks later he was so wonderful and caring and also polite as well , I sincerely thank him so much for the help and reassurance he gave , Renae ( his PA ) is so helpful and understanding as well Dr Myers is lucky to have such a hard working and dedicated lady on his staff , Unfortunately some of the other girls could be a bit more happier and bright when chatting with his patients on phone or in the office , Otherwise Very happy to have met such wonderful staff and also to Dr Myers colleague and fellow hand surgeon Dr Bryce Meads we look forward to seeing you again soon , Great job looking after our Mum from April to September 2018 See you again soon with my sister Samantha Stromeier , Many Thanks to Dr Myers again see you again sometime in the future . We have just finished treatment with Dr Blennerhasset and his team for my daughter. The entire experience from the first appointment to follow up reviews have been above expectation and we could not have asked for a better service. As a doctor myself I was determined to find the best person to carry out my daughters surgery and I am confident that we did. Communication and continuity was great as Paula in admin kept us updated with everything, was always available and knew who I was immediately when I called. Lisa the nurse knew our whole story and saw us regularly and was great with my daughter. Dr Blennerhasset made sure that we had time to ask our questions and kept us very well informed, we felt extremely safe and well cared for and my daughter has had a perfect result from her surgery! Highly recommended.

I had carpel tunnel release in December 2015 and my left hand has never been better, I am able to horse ride again, thank you Dr Tim Heath

Worst customer service ever !!!!Rudly spoken to by the desk girls, I have never been spoken too in such a manner all my life .No hello, spoke down too sat in her chair inappropriately. Extremely rude, Clearly doesn't want her job and should be taken off immediately. No communication skills and a horrible look on her face the whole time.Went through to the surgen" told that the accident that had happened was "stupid" and "how could you let that happen"

I have pain in my hand and right elbow and Jeff was pleasant to talk to you. He gave me a very honest opinion about going for a surgery. You have to wait a bit longer for your appointment but is worth it. Highly recommend

I have been so lucky to be looked after not only by Dr Mahajan but the front desk (Lisa, a gem) since arriving back from the UK, they actually listen and help, you don't feel rushed out the door like in the UK. So from me, huge thanks and thoroughly recommend the practice.

Professor Gumley is a gentleman first and foremost. This adds to the fact that he is also a brilliant surgeon. His advice was exceptional, unbiased and direct. He did eventually perform surgery on my wrist and I was very happy with his skill and the overall result.

I made an appointment with Dr Blennerhassett for fillers and wrinkle relaxing treatment. The team were so professional and warm. Paula greeted me at reception. Such a lovely lady that has been Dr Blennerhassett’s secretary for 20 years. Lisa my nurse was wonderful, comforting and so friendly. Dr Blennerhassett started my procedure and made me feel so relaxed. I’ve had similar procedures elsewhere. They don’t compare to my good experience. I will never go anywhere else. If you are considering any procedures I’m positive you’ll feel the same way.

He is a very well mannered and very kind Doctor. I had seen him so many years ago and now that i have a problem with my other hand I couldn’t ask for another doctor but him cz i know am in good hands.

This is a review solely based on my experience with the receptionist. The receptionist I spoke with on 2 separate occasions was extremely rude and dismissive, not allowing me to book an appointment with Dr Heath as I didn't have specific private hospital cover (I have private health insurance as well as a gp referral). I was told that they are really cracking down on this issue" as "these people" (with medicare) are "skipping the queue" for others waiting for surgery. Not once did I say I wanted surgery. I simply wanted a (well reviewed) specialists opinion about my wrist injury. It was exceptionally belittling."
