Best hairdresser ever!! Most beautiful clean bright blonde. Amazing hair extensions and an overall fun experience. Leasa is an amazing hairdresser, she’s been in the industry for years with a mountain of experience and her skill with blonde hair are the best. I was naturally dark brunette and she’s made my platinum blonde dreams a reality. Leasa is also amazing with hair extensions, mine look and feel so natural. The team are so friendly and the toasted sandwiches are the bomb!! Thanks Leasa, you are the best hairdresser in Melbourne, by far!!!

Had the most amazing experience at Birdie with the amazing Izzy, who transformed my dull and overgrown blonde into the colour of my dreams. She absolutely killed it and I walked out with big smiles. I cannot wait to visit again, thanks Birdie❤️

Have been coming here for years - it’s a fun salon but respectful of clients time to do whatever they wish - I take my laptop and work through a lot of my appointment! Colour is always bang on and the cut is great and long lasting. They really take the time with toning to make sure this is done properly too. And good coffee too!

I have tried so many hairdressers over the years to get my blonde right!Hundreds of hours and dollars spent with less than qualified hairdressers to do this process.This is the first salon who didn’t just fluke it once, But consistently lightens my hair evenly without burning my scalp.A beautiful salon with a coffee shop installed up front of shop for snacks and coffee‘s to order while the lengthy process happens.This is also a dog friendly salon and my best mate Squirrel loves coming along with me as we are inseparable.I travel 40 minutes through traffic to get to my appointments but it is well worth it for the results I wear home.5/5 stars all the way baby!!!!

Wish I never supported this business. Lack of care to make sure there's a clear understanding of what's wanted, and no sense of empathy when their customer's unhappy.I emailed them and really don't appreciate how the owner has handled this, just disappointed.Edit after response from owner: this is not a change of mind problem I let you know I only get my hair dyed once every 2 years so I don't want a temporary 6 week fix with toner like you offered. The last 3 times I've had my hair dyed I've always asked for and received the same thing so I knew exactly what I wanted. There's no way to actually fix the fact that you overly bleached my hair. I emailed you giving you an option to put yourself and your business into a better light if you wanted and you declined which is fine, this wasn't a threat just some transparency and giving you a choice if you wanted to. I never said I put a brown box dye in my hair" and I never "demanded a refund" I just gave you that option because that's what I would personally do in your position. The photos I've posted aren't filtered at all

I took my daughter here today to get a small panel of hair colour. We appreciated them fitting us in at relatively short notice. Our hairdresser was a trainee but was sweet and did a good job. That said, we found the salon to be a very toxic environment and the owner extremely unprofessional. At one point they yelled so aggressively and extensively over a phone call that my daughter started crying. While the colour turned out great, it was not the relaxing and fun visit we'd been looking for.

These guys know their blondes! A huge thank you to Izzy for my amazing hair transformation, I went from copper brown to a beautiful rose gold blonde, which other salons told me was not possible in one sitting! I couldn't be happier, and I won't be going anywhere else!

I am really happy with my hair cuts at Birdie Hair - have been a client for about 3 years, in Northcote and now the new premises in Preston. Leesa is practised and confident cutter, who understands how to listen. The salon is relaxed and welcoming. Perhaps not as glamorous looking as some but that’s not what matters, the parking is good, the coffee is good and I’m probably venturing into colour soon.Opening hours are good, love that I can book online and get prompt reply, and price for a short hair cut and style is average for the area.
