How I imagine Greek families experience dining!The positive experience had at Sofie’s encompassed not only the amazing food. Love the family vibe and hospitality from the owners and the food was perfect!Will be back with more people soon for the banquet!!!Highly recommend this restaurant for good Greek food.

What a gem! Hands down a fabulous traditional Greek restaurant. Food was absolutely delicious. Impeccable service. Fantastic prices. We had set menu no. 3 at $58pp - amazing. BYO wine only. Highly recommend.

We went here for a birthday dinner. The staff were friendly but the Resturant was run down. We left feeling very disappointed as we went to the Resturant based on the many great reviews. The menu was over priced for the meals we were served and the food was something we could have cooked ourselves at home. We ended up going to Ripples at Chowder bay the next day, where we paid the same price but had a much better quality meal.

A friend and I were keen to try this restaurant given its great reviews. What a terrible letdown it was! We had dinner there on a Friday night in March, and the restaurant was only half full (i.e. not a night when the busyness of the restaurant can excuse what subsequently happened…) We ordered a selection of 4 Meze plates, including the spanakopita (surely a very commonly ordered dish in a Greek restaurant?). Our young waitress had trouble understanding what spanakopita was, requiring us to point out that it was the “spinach pie”. The meze plates were quite good, but the spanakopita never arrived. Having finished the rest of our dinner, we gave up waiting and cancelled the spanakopita. There were no apologies from our waitress.We decided to order the “dessert for two” instead. This consisted of two small triangles of very dry baklava accompanied by two tiny scoops of vanilla ice cream at a cost of $24! Do not be deceived, it was certainly not the delicious desert with cherry and raisin ice cream described on the website. So disappointing, so expensive!When it came time to pay the bill, another (apparently more experienced) waitress said to us (actual quote) “oh we found your spanakopita by the way. It was at the back of the oven, all burnt.. The timer didn’t go off!!”. Is there a Sophie? Does she know about this? A total disaster.***RESPONSE TO SOPHIEThank you Sophie for your reply, which is very much appreciated. It is clear that you were operating under very challenging circumstances on the evening that we visited.I would certainly like to give the restaurant another try and will message you directly.

Fantastic authentic Greek food, perfectly cooked grilled octopus and lamb, and one of the best moussakas I’ve ever had outside of Greece! Plus the service was superb, friendly and welcoming! And Byo wine on top of that. We will be back!!

The dolomades, moussaka, and baklava were good and we enjoyed the dance show they put on for all the guests to enjoy. Some of the waitstaff’s service was disappointing.

What a gem!We came in on a Thursday night, and were catered for by Sofie and her husband, who dished us some fantastic food.All our dishes were well presented, fresh, vibrant and well executed, with a great combo of favourites. All the meze were easy to share, and the mains were very generously portioned.Highly recommended! I'll be coming back soon!
