A great dinning experience, lovely intimate venue with a small but refined menu. Will definitely be returning.

Best meal I’ve had in a long time. Get the oysters. Get the lamb. Get an experience like no other. I would fly back from Sydney just for this meal.

The service was excellent and can not be faulted. The menu is very limited which was okay, as you assume those items would be their specialty and be excellent. Unfortunately this was not the case for everything. The bread and amuse bush was delicious. The entree octopus was served cold and tasted horrible. For main I ordered the king fish, the fish was great, but it was served with grilled cucumber and a purée which was not good.My partner had the lamb which was good. But on par with a pub meal. It’s certainly not fine dining which is what you pay for.

I hidden gem in the heart of Launceston. We dined with friends celebrating a special birthday. Tyller and Kathleen are fantastic hosts and very accomodating to one of our party who is Vegan who I had mistakenly noted as a vegetarian, but the chef produced a fantastic vegan option. Putting our rabbit food friend aside, we all shared the same Amuse Bouche - a potato and celeriac broth that was a warm welcome from the chilly 5 degrees that Launceston had served up. My starter - crispy skin pork belly was just as described, crispy skin, well seasoned and a generous serving, others had the Salmon Tortellini served with Crab bisque, sour cream, chives, packed with flavour, the home made pasta, paper thin and al dente. For mains, we had thePan Seared Kingfish - served with whipped tahini, green pear amba, white anchovy vinaigrette, lovage, winter greens, parsley oil - The fish was beautiful cooked and the skin crispy with just the right amount of salt to help the skin caramelise. Highly recommend this restaurant. A big thank you to our hosts for making this a very special birthday, we will be back. Thank you.

Lovely gourmet Italian restaurant with all fresh produce from local Tassie. The staff are super lovely and the food is definitely spot on in flavours. Not a lot of variety of food but anything is on the menu is pretty much guaranteed to taste good.Desserts are an absolute must try, we thoroughly enjoyed the whole meal but the desserts were the long lasting feel-good factor. Will bring family over when I have the chance to.

So-so fare.Nice attentive staff, but let down by some basic errors on the food. I enjoyed the bread albeit tell-tale bread maker machine crust. The agro dolce oysters just poor, kingfish main little overcooked and lamb main okay but lamb needed some spruce up.Free potato soup shot over peppered, seasoning issues on carpaccio, the chef doesn't season his food appropriately. Please add salt/pepper to your dishes!!!The tiramisu was divine and tasty coffee to finish. I think this restaurant is okay but value for money no, as secondi/mains are best part of $50 each.If the staff ask if you want cracked black pepper?please heed their advice, you'll need it.$257 @21/04/2023

A fine dining institution in Launceston that we were very happy to have visited. The food is sublime and team absolutely charming and warm. I managed to take a photo of this lamb, which was the best I’ve ever had. Succulent, full of flavour and cooked to perfection. I ate this with a side of mushrooms and fried tarragon, delicious. Absolutely recommend can’t wait to come back in Spring. Yum!

One of the best restaurants in Launceston. Service and food were excellent. Also a great location and easy to walk to from nearby accommodation. We enjoyed our visit and we will definitely be back.
