Draftworks Events

I wasn't a direct client, but I recently benefitted from an associate's choice of Draftworks for their symposium.I had spent a month of late nights putting together some software to demonstrate a new usage of machine learning. I was honoured when my solution was selected to be one of the six approaches chosen for public demonstration.Up at 4am, I headed to Brisbane airport on my way to my Sydney presentation. My late booking led to me choosing a budget airline, and - to cut the story short - I didn't end up flying out of the airport as expected. Five minutes past an undisclosed check-in time and I was off the flight.It was 7am and I was devastated. All the preparation, late nights, applications, architectural problems, interviews - all gone because I chose a weak link in my chain of events to present...I was apologising to the convenors by ten past seven, and I meekly suggested the idea of a we-based presentation. No other presenters were presenting via web, it wasn't something that anyone had tested or planned for. And yet, soon after I arrived home, I was testing a webcam/mic presentation.Carlo from Draftworks spent the next two hours constantly updating me via text on how things were proceeding, how long till I was on, giving me camera usage feedback and ensuring the system worked.My presentation was delivered on time, and as smoothly as if I had been there in person. Noone but the organisers, Draftworks and myself knew that it was a last minute event.So that's my story. I wasn't a client of Draftworks, yet they treated me as though I was. I had better treatment from Draftworks than from the nameless airline I paid money to and received nothing.If anyone's needing to organise an event and wants a team that will do what needs to be done to make the event a success, I can recommend Draftworks. If you need a flight to Sydney - I can't help sorry.

Draftworks Events provided lighting and AV for our wedding at the Royal Botanic Garden Sydney. Gavin, Dan and the team worked tirelessly to set up for our event and worked through the night till the end of the event. The night went without any issues as both Gavin and Dan were there to ensure a smooth event. They really exceeded our expectations. Their hard work, dedication and experience would be beneficial if you are considering them for your next event. I would highly recommend them.

Gavin and his team rescued our event which was intended to be held face to face and need to become a hybrid set up at the last minute. They were flexible and agile as things changed throughout the week long program, and were as invested as we were in providing a great service for our attendees and presenters. I could not have asked for better support! We will be booking with them again!
