We came here on a Sunday afternoon, it had a bit of a rough vibe going when we arrived,we played pool for many hours, towards the end we where hungry and decided to order a pasta. It was close to closing time for kitchen, the pasta it self was over cooked and the sauce was to salty and very runny sauce! Chicken was over cooked

Bar staff remember your drink (blond lady and bloke working Feb 3rd), very friendly and polite. T bone steak was on point and cooked to rare just as I asked, wait staff even clean up after you! (Another blond working Feb 3rd) Hands down beats The Sh#t Way, I mean the slip way... Will make this my local. Very happy

Travelling round the Northern Rivers area spending a fair amount of time in different pubs for food and drinks, the Henry Rous Tavern was by far the best meals we've had in any pub we checked into. We ordered the BBQ ribs with chips & salad and rump steak with the same. Both meals completely exceeded our expectations, they were absolutely delicious and definitely up there amongst the best pub meals we've ever had! Compliments to the Chef! YUMO!The dining area was sparkling clean, all the staff were friendly & attentive and the place had a great atmosphere. We will definitely be calling back into Ballina just to eat at the Rous again!

The service was very friendly and helpfull, the Tbones we had were the best and most delicious I have had for a long time. Would definitely go back again. Friendly locals as well. Thankyou for making our Balllina experience so good.

This place has terrible customer service. Totally inflexible won't change chips and a salad for mash and veggies and rude on top.Zoe behind the counter needs to do a course in customer service. Avoid this place at all costs. Note to the manager Zoe was happy for me to go and put this terrible review. Such an attitude.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Drinks on tap were really cold, great wine selection that tasted lovely and was Food was Phenomenal! Outdoor seating was nice. Dining by myself, i was able to sit at the bar which was nice. HIGHLY RECOMMEND:D

Dropped in for a quick lunch while waiting for a vehicle service. Zero expectations and never been here before. Absolutely blown away by the crispy salmon. Best meal I've had in a long time! Great friendly staff too. I'll be dragging my wife back here at the next opportunity.

I could not have had a better experience at a tavern. Waitress Kim couldn't have been more pleasant nor efficient than she was and the meals were delicious.The bar staff was also very pleasant and efficient.I will most definitely be returning.
