We were in the area and looking for a place to have lunch. This was a great find!We had the American burger and chicken burger with fries. Saw other people having wings, steaks they all seemed delicious. We sat on outdoor bench as it’s a nice sunny winter day. There are lots of seating indoors too. Beautiful building turned into sort of an American ranch style eatery.You can order through online or in person. Foods were prepared fresh and service was great. The lady was very accommodating and helpful. The toilets and whole establishment was very clean and tidy. Would love to be back again when in the area. Thank you!

Service was amazing! Could have had more variety on the food and drinks menu as I found the spirits to be mainly bourbons and the vodka that they did have wasn’t that great in taste.Food was perfectly cooked and the price was very reasonable. If your looking for just a quiet dinner this is probably one of the better places in Richmond as the lighting is very dark, country home feel and intimate.

My experience at barrel & ashes was exceptional. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. With its unique features and high-quality dining experience, I highly recommend this bar to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience. 5 Stars from our family!

5 stars plus some! Came here for the first time to celebrate Mother’s Day and will definitely be back. Service and staff were great, food was amazing! The dry aged steak was cooked perfectly.

Disappointed in the food, not the quality it used to be. QR code/Digital ordering - only - ruined the ambience. The staff were friendly and hospitable, especially in regard to our 2 year old, however the waiter was uninformed. The decor is fun.

A cosy restaurant with a focus on American-style cuisine. It's a great looking venue, the staff are attentive, and it has QR code ordering from your table via Bopple. The meals looked amazing and tasted pretty good too. The cocktails were the same. Why not five stars? It felt slightly expensive for what we got.

Unbelievable food, fantastic atmosphere and excellent service. The restaurant is cosy and very very inviting. Lots of room for small or large parties.Whisky selection is extensive and very well stocked, lots of cocktails to choose from and absolutely delicious.I can't recommend this place highly enough, we'll be back very soon!

An interesting evening. We drove past this place twice and thought it looked cool, so we'd give it a go.First of all, I was surprised to find no heaters outside. So inside was really the only option on a May evening.The lighting was weird. There was a multicoloured light pointing at the roof, which is fine for a bar, but not a restaurant.No menus. You are given a QR code, which allows you to order online, for a service fee! We were able to order at the bar.We had a steak (the only steak on the menu) and a burger. The burger was very nice. The steak is no doubt a difficult cut to cook, and it was ok. Blue in some parts, medium in others. I wanted medium rare.The beer choice was ok. Wine and cocktails were expensive, but extensive.Overall, we hope the place finds an identity and starts pumping. We probably wouldn't be back.

The food is amazing. Juicy, melt in your mouth steak, crispy chips and fine tasting wine and whiskey. The pricing is reasonable considering the wonderful quality. My fiancé and I have booked to eat in there again. 10/10 would recommend! And you support local business which is always a plus!
