Otways Tourist Park

Been there 3 days and it was a nightmare.Grass was full of bugs, millions of them. We were told that it is normal at this time of year in Victoria but for a private park, I think it wasn’t inevitable. There are some insecticide to decrease the number of themBathroom water was cold for the first 2 daysEven water taps didn’t work in one toilet blockPlus, don’t forget to bring enough 1$ coins for 6 min shower.

I stayed at the Otways Tourist Park for a week in one of the cabins. Not greatly impressed with the condition it was in. Not all the sliding windows would open and the tracks were full of dead flies and some cobwebs.! Trying to get some fresh air was hopeless because the flyscreens all had holes in them.! The skirting board in front of shower was rotted away and left a hole the size of a fifty cent piece. Quite disappointed with the standard of the cabin as it did not look like the picture on the website. The staff were helpful, but condition of room was a huge letdown.

We stayed in a cabin that was excellent for the price. Beautiful location not far from berry farms and to get to the waterfalls and Melba gully isn't far.

Great host, very clean and tidy, plenty of shade and grass.Beechy rail trail passes past the back fence.Highly recommend for a quiet relaxing stay

We found the owners very helpful and accommodating, the park well maintained, peaceful, cabins clean and comfy. You must stay in the cabin that's also a caravan, very quirky. Massive TV and fridge. Bed amazing.

Camping sites are large. Amenities are well kept and plenty of hot water.Fires allowed, dogs allowed. Great for a short Easter break.

To the excellent team member on Friday evening 9/6/23: Our experience with the park was not with the stay but the service. We were in a tight spot of having little fuel with our vehicle, had no reception on our devices and it was getting late in the evening. However we decided to drive in and asked for help. The lady on Friday night was extremely helpful. She helped us with the navigation to the nearest servo, told us about the risks around when everywhere was flooded and the road conditions. We were scared to drive further as we may get stranded with no fuel. But she gave us a lot of encouragement that we could make it. In the end we made it to the servo with 0kms fuel left. We thank you so much for helping us and felt extremely grateful when we made it into the town and got our tank filled up.

We had a fabulous time at the Otways Tourist Park. We stayed in the cabins, which were spacious and clean and the bed linen very comfy. The Hosts/Owners were fabulous - very friendly and accommodating. The location was great- a General Store directly across the road had great coffee, wines and beer on tap. A very short walk to the pub, which had great meals and very friendly service. The kids had a ball exploring the caravan park and surrounding gardens. Great location, we enjoyed the Otways Estate winery and the treetop walk and zip lining which was a short drive from the park.
