Salt at the Elliot

Salt is new, modern with great welcoming staff.The food is good and the wine is too!If you want abit more of a fancy dinner then just a pub meal, Salt is the place!No complaints here - Love love love!

Wow! What a great place. We had a fantastic lunch. Tapas : amazing food - we had the prawns, baby squid, duck (mouth watering) and garfish. AND then the desserts...... Service was brilliant, prompt, the waiter, Ryan, had a great rapport, sense of humour & very efficient! For those on a budget they also have a Seniors Menu. We'll worth a visit. A great find!

First time visit at Salt at the Elliot. High expectations were met with fantastic food and friendly service. We ordered a few tapas to share, the arancini, zucchini crostini, prawns and the duck. Each dish was just perfectly presented and delicious. We had the pork belly for mains, big serve, soft tender pork with tasty sauce. Shared desert, we ordered the chocolate cremeux which was to die for. 5 star food and 5 star service, would highly recommend and will definitely be back.

Very disappointing experience at Salt tonight. As we got to the bottom of our salad I found a 4 cm dead grasshopper in the salad. We told the waitress who was going to pass on to the chef. No apology, no recognition from the chef and we were charged for the salad. I guess it was better than half a grasshopper.

After visiting Salt a couple of times in the past month, it has quickly become one of my favourite places to visit in Port Elliot. A perfect spot to relax with friends and enjoy a few cocktails. The Oysters were super fresh and the Pipi Linguini and the Pork Belly mains are delicious. The staff were very friendly and accommodating and the ambiance is the perfect balance of luxurious and laid back.

Our first experience at Salt in Port Elliott and it was just perfect. I in particular am very hard to please when it comes to food served which, in my opinion, should be above and beyond anything you can make at home yourself. The food we ordered was indeed above and beyond. Each dish beautifully presented, cooked to perfection (the duck ooh lala), elevated with wonderful sauces and toppings. Staff were lovely too.We enjoyed tapas choosing the zucchini crostini, manchego cheese, crispy duck, mushroom arancini & Parmalat prosciutto then panna cotta & grilled white Peach for dessert.Omg that duck was superb and the mushroom arancini omg we've never had such a delicious flavour in a mushroom dish. Our experience will definitely bring us back to try some mains. This is my dream dining experience and that says a lot believe me. Excellence. I hope you have as wonderful experience as we did.

A large, airy, spacious and contemporary restaurant and events venue, only open two months, provides gluten free, vegan and vegetarian options. Wait staff are friendly and the wine menu is well curated. Nice ambience, and I recommend for a romantic dinner.

My wife and I celebrated our 25th Wedding Anniversary in style at Salt. There were a great range of wines to choose from, and the staff were very attentive. Oysters were on the menu and also offered as a special, uniquely able to order 2 rather than the usual half dozen minimum. The tapas offerings were extensive and all tasty, plus we had pork for main and a brilliant special of pumpkin gnocchi. We will definitely be back to try more of their menu.
