We are just back from such an amazingly simple, fun, easy, cheap, joyful little holiday here. A farmstay that is truly family friendly. We’ve been to a few and this one really welcomes you and loves the kids getting involved. Being just TWO minutes from Alexandra with 3 pubs, several other restaurants, a big supermarket, a gorgeous library and more was icing on the cake! Our little cottage had both reverse cycle and a wood heater and was so cosy - lots of board games between animal feeding and slow, lazy days. I have just booked us to return next holidays! We’re all excited to return in spring and meet the pregnant cow’s calf and see the farm evolve through the seasons. Such a special time.

What a lovely place to spend a few days. The accomodation is classic country feel but nothing is left out for your creature comforts, even in the middle of a crisp Victorian winter. And run by a very dedicated family to make you feel part of the family community. if you want a farm vibe, particularly for kids to partake in, this comes highly recommended.

Carolyn is a wonderful host and we had a great time at the cottage and the property. Lots of wonderful animals that are well looked after and a very beautiful location close to amenities.

Beautiful location, great beautiful, clean and ready accomodation. Fire place made up, just required lighting. Beautifully equiped, yet also nice and close to shopping in Alexandra, and close to the high country and snow regions. Not far off the track for people passing through to further north. Fantastic for children to see farm animals, and for pets.

Fawcett country cottages is a great getaway location for the whole family.
