Lovely culture and family friendly. The rooms and community areas were very clean. Lovely sunset views as well. Will be coming here again next season.

Fantastic ski lodge in Mt Hotham which is in an ideal location. The facilities are great, each room has a private ensuite plus a large room which have all been renovated. The kitchen is huge and has also been fully renovated, plus there are plenty of areas to relax (and they have a games room). There is a waxing room, the drying room is big and dry and you will never have to put on wet boots or gloves! The managers Maria and Mick were extremely welcoming and kept everything clean!

It was fine apart from aN OlderParticular female staff member who seemed very VERY tired and worn.i as a parent was told to shoosh up my children as princesses were sleeping upstairs and as it was the last few days of the ski season so I could understand with the just can’t anymore deal bit! Other accommodation options with more privacy would work for our family I believe.Also the bedrooms got VERY hot as I couldn’t work out the knobs on the wall heaters was it on off? Who knows? Get to bed and hope for the best- so I was unable to sleep well during the few nights we stayed opened the window during the night a few times just to cool down and that felt so so nice.On the upside the kitchens seemed very clean and well in order and people were happy to socialise in the more open communal areas. The lovely warm welcoming ski changing clothes entrance was fabulous and a welcoming area. This hotel is walking distance to most places.

Great family lodge with modern facilities. Every bedroom is private with its own ensuite and there’s three living spaces to relax, watch tv or entertain the children in the games room. Lovely in winter for skiing and boarding and in summer with the beautiful alpine walks. Highly recommend.

Amazing lodge. Loved the open fire place, the large new kitchen and the three lounge rooms meant you could always find a place to chat, relax or for the kids to play. Also really nice that they rooms have their own ensuite and it’s close to the general and Jack Frost

Great place, well positioned close to the road for load/unload. Close the The General Hotel and walking distance from Big D. Close to Devenport Access either directly or via Frosty Drop

I've been coming here 32 years and its the best lodge on the hill hands down! awesome for families, groups, singles. Best location.

We have been apartment stayers and this trip we decided to give a lodge a go. Wow what an experience, our kids had an absolute ball! The parents had a fantastic time also - could not recommend this place any more. The hosts Mick and Maria were super friendly and so helpful, the facilities were great quality, the whole place was spotless clean, the rooms were great. We will definitely be back.

Kalyna has been our favourite club for a while cause of the big fireplace located in the communal dining/rumpus room.As most ski lodges, we have to wash and clean after ourselves. Kalyna also has a steriliser for dishes. This lead to an incident that makes our group hesitate to visit again.On Saturday night, while we cooking our dinner, I went and washed the chopping board while waiting for my meal to cook. However, the un-sterilise plates/bows rack are full and the other rack was in the steriliser(i think it finished sterilize at the time). I had no place to put my cleaned chopping board so I ask a lady who seems to be very knowledgeable around the club(turn out she is a member of the club, more on this later). She told me I have to take out the rack in the steriliser, put those plates /bows in places, and then put the full unsterilised rack in the steriliser and then I can put my chopping board in the empty rack. I then hesitated a bit cause my meal about to finish cooking so I left the chopping board there and planned to clean the pot and do the whole process once I am done cooking. But the lady went off on a tantrum as she saw me left the chopping board on the bench. She then proceeded to take out the rack and put stuff away. Every time she put a plate or bowl away she desperately made sure that the bow/plate hit the shelf and create loud noise as she mouthing off. There are several people in the kitchen at the time that can be my witness.Later on, after we finished dinner, I went down to get my board to do some adjustments. The lady happened to be in the board room at the time. She then confronted me, introduce herself as a Kalyna club member and  asked am I understand her?" (Note that I'm the one who asked her the question in the first place.) My friends think she is racist when I told them the story (I'm an Asian btw but all my mates are Aussie). She then went off on me and question why I didn't do as per her instructions and she also said she has been monitored our group since the morning(creepy).  I explained and also mentioned we did put stuff in and stack stuff out only she didn't see it but she still concluded that our group does not suit to be in the Kalyna lodge environment.My friend later told me they saw she has a chat with Maria(the member on duty)  and was pointed at me during our dinner.Our group was very disappointed and my mates were annoyed as she seems to single me out several times.
