Lake Eildon is a beautiful lake. Entrance to the lake from Candlebark Campsite is too narrow. During public holidays the campsite and the entrance to the lake are too crowded.

Pros: Hot water showers, several fire pits, wildlife, walking trails and 1min walk from Lake Eildon.Cons: Quite pricey, dusty and ground is pretty hard

We had a great time camping here for 3 nights after Christmas. Great amenities - flushing toilets, hot showers and a gas bbq - all included in campsite price and cleaned daily so given it’s a camp site, very clean! Fresh water also available too.Lots of walks from the campsite, we enjoyed the outdoors and hanging around the campsite and using the fire pits at night.Only downside is that it’s all dirt and almost clay, no soft grass or sorts but then again this is Australia so expected.

Nice place if you would like to get away from your daily routine. No cellphone reception camp site ( except for Telstra) . And no electricity. Personally i enjoyed it and extended my stay for one more day.

Camped there in summer which was bit busy but still one of my favorites. Close to lake with a great view of trees and mountains. People can swim, kayak and load boats there. The facilities are great, including hot water shower and drinking water. Only four fire places around the water which are not enough at all.

Great location near the lake. Amenities are pretty well maintained, firepits near the lake are fun too.Not too many shaded areas near the campsites so bring some of your own.

Went during winter, so wasn't crowded.Has 1no gas BBQ and 4 fire pits. (which wouldn't be enough during summer). There's drinking water taps and SHOWERS with warm water.Unfortunately no lighting to the undercover bbq space.Great spot to start your hikes or enter the lake. Would go back again.

Pros: toilet and showers were relatively clean with running hot water and electricity. Proximity to water. Proximity to several hiking trails.Cons: can get crowded, rowdy and noisy until about midnight. Bringing boom boxes and large speakers seem to be the new way to enjoy nature. Grots leaving their garbage behind, tissues and wipes on the ground, fruit and vegetable cutoffs thrown around (aside from being dirty, it attracts the crows, ants and possums)

A good place for stay after hiking but too many noise from ignorant people. Avoid at all cost during long weekend.

Pretty good to have an easy campFacilities are decent, think they could restock the soap and toilet paper a bit more often when fully booked.Ground was pretty hard so make sure you bring a mallet for your pegs. Also pretty dusty so people driving past can kick up a bit of dust. Would also reccomend keeping your rubbish in the car overnight cause our neighbour got their rubbish broken into by some wildlifeOverall pretty good, lake was fun to take a dip in and quiet times were pretty well adhered to. Would go again. Some very nice 1hr walks nearby as well that weren't too hard if you're not fit.
