It's nice to know that such a place still excises. Beautiful area, camp grounds well maintained and lots of wild life. Great walking tracks. Will be back to complete more of them soon.

Fantastic for campers, not great for caravans. The Bunya Mountains is a stunning national park with beautiful walks, however the steep road and hairpin turns are dangerous with a trailer or caravan. The cafe and whiskey bar are excellent. I'm looking forward to visiting again but I will leave my van at a park below the mountain and drive up in the car for day trips.

Good, compact and very popular camping ground with facilities including hot showers. Park Rangers office provides useful information, and booking (and cell phone reception) for the other Bunya Mountain campgrounds.

Great area, facilities are modern and immaculate. Free electric barbeques large picnic tables located undercover. Located close to the starting point for several nice bush walks. There is an abundance of animals everywhere and the local animals have no fear of people. There is also several coffee shops, a bar and restuarant and a general store within five minutes walk of the camp grounds

Dandabah was a great camping area but overcrowded. It has flushable toilets, hot showers and bins so makes camping quite easy. When I was there some campers had spread out taking up large portions of room which makes this whole campsite problematic. It is more like a caravan park. There are cafes and a store within walking distance also. I would go here again for the walks and to be in the mountains but possibly would choose another campsite for some quite.

Had a great stay in my van for 2 weeks.Well kept grounds and clean amenities. The camping area gets a little crowded on weekends but the showers always had hot water. The bar/restaurant is very pleasant and has over 180 whiskies. They even do paddles of whiskey for tasting and appreciation sessions every second Saturday. The bunya larger is a good drop. A very well stocked bar with a good range of cocktails. The general store has a reasonable stock but bring your meat , fruit and veg.The place is beautiful so bring a camera.

A large, mostly flat grassy area great for tents and caravans alike. Pick your own spot when you arrive as there are no assigned sites. Bathrooms were clean with flush toilets and hot showers. A great location at the top of Bunya near the cafes and walks!

It was my first camping trip, and Dandabah camping grounds has made me a lover of camping... bonus hot showers, clean toilets, and a place to wash cooking pans/etc. Its a very small camping ground so there isnt much noise. It has the most beautiful skies i have seen at night ... the endless hiking/walking trails for all fitness levels, had space to play cricket with the other campers ... absolutely peaceful atmosphere .. LOVED it and will be returning

I visited on ANZAC weekend April 2022. The camping area was crowded and a bit disordered as the campers set up their camps higgildy piggildy. Everybody was very friendly and helped each other. The weather was wet with cool winds, the clouds were at ground level every morning.Given the many people and the cool weather - the wise showered early as the hot water tended to be used up.When there were fewer people there was plenty of hot water. The amenities were clean and in good condition. I appreciated the number of hooks in the shower. There are no fire places and the picnic shelters offered electric hot plates but not much shelter from the wind. The lawns were in great condition. And the wallabies visited every day.

This is my favourite campground in the Bunya Mountains. The ground is set on flat grass in the heart of the Dandabah settlement amongst all the trees and wildlife. It's really special waking up to the sound of wallabies munching on grass outside your tent. The place just has a serene and happy feel about it that I haven't found in many other places. The facilities here are great, especially for women. There are warm showers, flushing toilets, sinks to do the dishes in etc. It's very civilised. It gets very busy and crowded over long weekends and school holiday weekends, so you need to book at least a month in advance to avoid disappointment. For most other times you are safe to book a week in advance, and during the off season you can just turn up and book at the Ranger's office on the public computer out the front.I prefer camping here during the week when it's less crowded, but if you only have the weekends off, it's still really nice.
