Just got my 79 Moke back from Graeme Lord. The business is called Maintaining Legends and I now agree. Poor guy apologised for charging about $4k for massive (nearly every single part) gearbox and diff rebuild (I should have taken pictures of the suitcase full of broken parts he showed me) plus new disk brakes, new drive shafts, new clutch plus labour. Then discussed all this stuff they had to do to get my little beast going. Most too techie and over my head, but he and his offsider sure know their stuff. And it drives like new! I thought about it later: a mate spent twice that just on a BMW clutch 10 years ago. So this was a bargain. Plus He had nearly all the parts (two foolscap pages, part per line itemised) on site and car was in and out in about 8 working days. If you have something British, head straight to Fairy Meadow.
