Clifton Homestead
My partner and I have stayed twice in the Paint Shed Cottage and loved it. Great location a short drive out of Hobart. The owners are lovely. The cottage was private, the bed very comfortable and warm, and it has a beautiful bathroom. We loved making a coffee in the kitchenette and enjoying it walking on the property grounds and down to the Mountain River. The stunning Oast House has a great restaurant in it too. Highly recommend.

Amazing accommodation and a lovely team. The property is stunning and the Kiln Eatery attached to the property is a great feed. It was a great way for us to experience the Huon.

Clifton Homestead
We stayed in the smaller cottage- beautiful, boutique and cosy with stunning countryside decor in a modern refurbished fit out. Electric heating kept us warm during the cold winter. The surrounding restaurant and gardens were also pretty and came with some cute chickens as well as other wildlife. The hosts were warm and generous with showing us around the historic site and providing good recommendations for where to eat and scenic drives. You get a great night sky in these parts too for Milky Way viewing. Excellent accomodation, highly recommend.

Stayed in one of the cottages over a weekend - lovely location, and the restaurant was fantastic for getting a nice coffee early in the morning and enjoying the scenery.Amazing place for some downtime and RnR.Looking forward to being able to return

Such a beautiful historic property full of history and treasures! An easy drive to Hobart, Bruny Island and local wineries. Delicious local produce used for breakfast. Owners very knowledgeable and happy to help with anything you need. Will definitely visit again when the gin distillery is open!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, the rooms are delightfully quaint and breakfast was delicious. My 4 year old daughter loved wandering around the grounds and meeting the animals.
