The terrace Is lit by both candle lanterns and the city lights. Inside you can feel the historic ambiance only a restored heritage cottage can provide. Food here is flawless, you cannot fault it! Marie & Anne we’re such wonderful hosts and we’re beyond helpful with my endless questions. This place is a must visit.

Overall we were pretty disappointed with the Mother’s Day set lunch and thought it was overpriced for the standard of the cooking. Appreciate that it’s a busy day and we didn’t come expecting perfection, but we felt the garlic bread wasn’t much different to supermarket standard and being a French restaurant, we were very disappointed at the bake at home breads. The starters were under-seasoned and lacked flavour. Both mains were tasty and the meat really nicely cooked but the lamb pie didn’t have the carrots per the menu and the pastry was a bit underdone. The chocolate fondant was the best dish. The staff were pleasant and it was a lovely spot / atmosphere but would struggle to go back or recommend based on our experience.

(Mar-22) Beautiful dining experience with palate pleasing well presented food. Thet were clearly short staffed on the Saturday night we went, but they didn't rush or push you to order more drinks or wine. 3 course set menu on Friday and Saturday night only, it is good value for the meal, and you don't need to order sides (like we did). We were there at 6.25 and finished dinner at 8.40 (we also had one slow eater)The warm picholine and olive tapenade with garlic baguette was a nice appetiser, it is bursting with flavour and filling - they voice plenty of tapenade. The sweet corn and bell pepper veloute is the stand out of the entrees, it tastes very decadent for a vegetarian entree. The tartare was good too.We all had the signature barrundi pie, it is big, the use of shitake mushrooms brings nice textures and depth to the dish, there was just the right amount of herbs to the dish without it being overpowering. There is salt and pepper on the table (but I didn't see any need for either).Of the three desserts we tried the best is the coconut curd. It is light and refreshing and I love the crunch from the toasted sesame. The goat cheese bavarois is essentially a deconstructed cheesecake and it is good too. Fondant was a little over cooked... Wasn't as gooey as they should be.

Intimate restaurant, very friendly and approachable staff. The cuisine produced is of a very high quality, and joy of joys, a small 3 course set menu with a small selection of dishes in each course. In a city currently filled with multi course degustation menus, this was a breath of fresh air.The setting is stunning- set in a period stone cottage by the water. On a clear night, nothing nicer than to sit in the balcony and watch the world go by.The prices were in my opinion, exceptionally good value

Our adult family really enjoyed the food and atmosphere. Everything was perfect with respect to presentation and quality. The 3 courses left us full sated. The service was excellent. We missed Antoine when he left our local area some years ago as we only needed to walk 400 metres to his restaurant. His cuisine was always top class. Bellevue cottage is a beautiful location.

There’s actually two parts to this establishment. Check the photos and you’ll see what I mean.I ate on the ground level at the cafe on the bay - but there is an old stone building which is a restaurant situated above it. Which, as I understand it is only open in the evening I think. Both the cafe and the restaurant overlook the harbour and boats so it’s pretty spectacular. The cafe is close to the water and serves very good coffee and fantastic quiches.

I had to give 3.The venue, setting, artwork and atmosphere are brilliant(at night).Although the service was very polite they are in need of some training to put it nicely. As for the food maybe I was expecting more from the location ....The corn/pepper starter was not for me though it do look awesome, the chicken was good and the pork my partner had was good also but portion sizes between the two varied immensely. We had the mash and beans as sides, the mash was great but the beans were bland. The desserts were both good though I'd recommend the chocolate fondant over the coconut/sesame.They also had a decent wine list to go with the menu.

Ambience and service was good but food is somewhat underwhelming. The corn entree left an unpleasant after-taste. The coconut curd dessert made zero sense because you literally could not taste the coconut nor the blackcurrant when you eat it with the roasted sesame seeds on top.
