Crowdy Head Lighthouse
It was an insanely windy afternoon blowing madly from the north east. Quite exposed at the top of the hill but close to parking area so not such a drama. Outstanding vista in each and every direction. Worth the short drive from Harrington anyway.

Crowdy Head Lighthouse
We loved this lookout it has some great views. I was surprised to see that there is a little information center. It was closed when we visited but you could see through the window , would have liked for it to be open. Hopefully on our next visit

Great place to sit and stare out to sea. Amazing view with lots of whale sightings during whale season. Only a few steps from the car park makes it easily accessible.

Crowdy Head Lighthouse
The Crowdy Head Lighthouse is a tiny lighthouse standing just 7.3 metres. It was designed by Colonial architect James Barnett and built in 1878.The light has a visibility horizon of 16 nautical miles (26.9 kilometres). It was originally manned by one lightkeeper but demanned in the 1920s when the light apparatus was automated. The light was converted to mains electricity in June 1972.
