Replaced transmission in my 02 Range Rover three years ago. Talked me into it saying do it once do it right. Cost 5500. Three years and 48,000 kms later that box has had a catastrophic failure which they have quoted for 6500. While I expect it is an unusual failure, I got the whole deflecting any responsibility thing on the phone and in the invoice which seemed most important to them. Not the customer nursing a giant problem. I trusted them in the first place and it didn’t work out. Sorry would have have done. Pretty galling. Don’t just trust them, probe and get other opinions.

I cannot recommend theses guys enough! After the local car dealership diagnosed the problem and quoted $8500 to completely replace the gearbox, these guys had the real issue sorted in less than an hour of dropping off the car. Turns out it was another part that cost just $670 and even with transporting the car down to Brisbane was still way less than was quoted (and misdiagnosed) locally. Their communication through out the whole exercise was excellent and I would definitely use them again!

Thank you Ryan & team for truly great service & value when repairing (or should I say making new again) the DSG transmission on my Audi Q5. You returned calls when you said you would, you repaired as quoted, and I'm blown away with the result. And all this while you were dealing with getting your workshop back up and running after the floods. Can't recommend these guys highly enough!

Ryan from Reliable Autos is the best auto specialist around! I required a second opinion on a major issue with my vehicle for insurance purposes and the report Ryan provided me with was incredibly professional and detailed. Ryan's knowledge and expertise are second to none and thanks to him and his team, I've now successfully had my vehicle issues sorted out under insurance. This is a huge relief.
