Nice local post office with everything you need. Staff are nice and parcel collect function is efficient. Good location.

While the workers at the desk are lovely, their delivery drivers are the worst in Canberra. They routinely drop packages back to the post office instead of trying to call through on the intercom and I've had to arrange pickup from the post office over half a dozen times in the last two months, despite having been home for the delivery. They also send their delivery timeframe texts well after the delivery window has started (sometimes up to an hour late) and don't always provide notifications that the delivery has been unsuccessful". Due to their opening hours only going until 5pm it's also pretty difficult to leave work and get there on time. When you submit the feedback they close the tickets off without contacting you. Paying postage for local delivery is a waste of time - you may as well go and get the item yourself because you'll just end up picking it up from the post office anyway."

I was told by workers I could send a package to the post office as I can’t except it at my home address… I then got a notification saying it was delivered so I went to the post office and was told it was probably sent to Fyshwick for relabelling and will be sent back to Dickson , that was fine. I was then called by the manager… to say I was blamed and talked down to would be an understatement, I did just as your staff advised me , in unavoidable situations where Australia post is concerned I will never select Dickson again. I also work in a customer service role while studying and I would never treat a customer like they have. Absolutely disgusting.

Seeing as the normal working hours are 9-5pm, the exact opening hours of the post office counter, it is very disappointing they aren’t open a few hours on saturday like most! If you’re going to have such restrictive hours, why not put peoples parcels in the lockers where possible.

Difficult opening hours aside, I witnessed a staff member be extremely rude and racist toward a customer trying to collect a parcel for their husband. Completely unacceptable, everyone deserves respect.

I'm giving 5 stars purely because of one employee - the rose among the thorns. She is the only staff member in the entire post office who actually cares about her job, going above and beyond to give excellent customer service, always with a smile on her face and positive energy. The other ladies are either borderline racist (or plain racist), cranky and/or just don't care.

A package was placed in my parcel locker and later that same day taken out because I didn't collect it in time (you are meant to have 48 hours to collect). They are closed Saturdays (which I think it a recent thing) and now I have to arrange to leave work early to get there before five during the week.

One employee was great (I think she was a trainee) - great customer service overall.The more senior employees seemed very rude and potentially racist. I witnessed one staff member being very condescending towards a customer who was an elderly asian man. Another staff member just stared at me (an Asian Australian woman) blankly and gave a very non-helpful response when I asked how long she would be expecting to take with a customer.

I use this post office quite a lot. Staff aren’t overly welcoming, friendly or helpful, and I have witnessed some poor response to other customers, but I’ve never really had a major issue myself and always got what I needed. However, I was left quite an abrupt voicemail this morning (November 1) saying I had a parcel to collect that was due to return to sender today. All the emails I’ve received from Aus Post have said I had until November 4. As someone who works 7am-6pm during the week and has had a number of commitments over the weekend, getting to a post office with such short opening hours can be tricky. I knew I had, according to all emails, another 4 days to get there and pick up my package. I’m not sure if it was a miscommunication or something, but I really didn’t appreciate the message that I was left this morning and being told they’d “hold it” for an extra day, even though it was meant to be there for another 4. Even if it was an error on their part, they could’ve been nicer in the way they spoke.If you need to use this post office, it’s fine. But if you have a choice I’d honestly say find somewhere else. I think the team at this site need some communication and customer service training.

Very annoyed with my experience with the post office. The opening hours are very short and it is closed now on Saturday. It isn't very organised as most times I've been there. I went there on a Saturday and there was a poster on the front saying it was closed even though a paper slip I got said otherwise. Another time, I waited 20 minutes for my parcel because they put the wrong label on it. You have redeemed yourself a bit because of the 24/7 parcel pick-up lockers but the rest of the experience is bad.
