Mid City College

Currently, I study a Diploma in Hospitality and Management at Mid City College. I undertook this course because I want to open my own hospitality business in the future and be professionally recognized as a Chef. When I first came to Australia, I initially studied Accounting and started a part-time job at a restaurant. As I was working there, I realized I was more enthusiastic about cookery than numbers which led me to change my career path.Hospitality is one of the fastest-growing industries. I highly recommend Mid City college for students from any educational background to pursue their career in Hospitality as they have great engaging educational classes, vocational placements, training equipment, and chefs who are supportive towards student learning.

I am undertaking Certificate IV + Diploma of Hospitality & Management in Mid City college. I took this course to build a career in the hospitality industry.All the units covered in this course are so interesting and applicable to the workplace. I enjoy the classes and have been learning & creating a variety of dishes in the kitchen. With the help of ongoing classes and training in the kitchen, I felt confident enough to apply for full-time chef jobs in restaurants where I want to work, and I have been offered positions in most of them. I am grateful for this course and highly recommend it to students who want to gain or enhance their hospitality skills.

I highly recommend Midcity college for its excellent course learning & training program. I currently work as a chef in a busy cafe. The course helped me excel in my field and i was learning baking techniques, which is a part of my training that turned out to be so helpful for me as i was able to upgrade the food menue at the cafe using those techniques.Ever since then the sales of the cafe have rapidly increased and the cafe owner is nothing but very pleases with my work and dedication. i am thankful for the weeks i have spent training in the kitchen at Mid City College.

I highly recommend Mid City college for Certificate IV Commercial cooking as their educational resources are so clear, accessible, and helpful. I was always interested in the line of cookery which is why I took a full-time chef role in one of the busiest cafés in Canberra. I love my job as a chef and with the help of this course, I am learning professional cooking skills as I did not always have a hospitality background. The assignments are always creative, and our chef is friendly with all the students in the kitchen which creates a great learning environment. With this course, I look forward to landing even better jobs and hopefully opening my restaurant in the future where I can create my Nepalese fusion menus.

I came to Australia from Nepal to continue my study in Hospitality. Back in Nepal while I was undertaking my hotel management course, the course felt extremely limited. Here, in Mid City college the Diploma course includes a lot of variety in terms of learning. I took the package course in Hospitality offered by the college so that I can expand my roles within the hospitality industry as I can see myself working as a chef or a manager.With the support of my teacher, I have been able to perform well in assignments and kitchen training classes. I look forward to implementing these skills for my future roles and highly recommend this course and college for its excellence.

I recently moved from Sydney to Canberra for my PR process. Since I have been working in the hospitality sector, I wanted to get professional recognition in the industry and joined Mid City college because they offered a variety of course structures and a simulated training environment. Through the classes, I learned & prepared a wide range of cuisines, learned how to use commercial cooking equipment appropriately, and learned personal hygiene and kitchen cleanliness which I apply to my workplace. I recommend Mid City college for its excellent course, supportive group of teachers, and a place where you can grow your technical skills.
