There is a reason why this place is a top rated eatery in Hobart. Don't let the size of the shop throw you off, this seems to be a little gem in the outskirts of Hobart CBD. Saw this eatery whilst waiting for our bus to the Airport (Skybus stop is literally around the corner) for our last feed in Tassie, and boy was it a good feed. The staff were catering and the food came out piping hot and delicious. We ordered twice as the food was that nice. The fried Momos with the chutney sauce was absolutely incredible as well as the butter chicken and lamb biryani. Would definitely recommend those craving a bit of Indian/Nepalese food in the area, it sure won't disappoint. Will definitely be back if we do venture back to Tasmania.Con: Closest bathrooms are in Centrepoint shopping centre

My partner and I love curry, we love making curry and we love eating curry. If we lived in Hobart, this would be our usual spot. Very friendly service and delicious food. Good amount of spice and bursting with flavour. Some of the best goat I have had, nice big pieces. So good we are going back tomorrow.

A small, clean and unassuming restaurant. We ordered fried Momos, chilli momos, garlic & butter naans, goat curry, chilli chicken & veg noodles. The food was fresh, piping hot & delicious, however, it took a while to arrive. Naans were absolutely outstanding, goat curry was delicious but the meat was a touch undercooked. All in all, a lovely, enjoyable meal.

Wow! We eat a lot of Indian and Nepalese food and this place really surprised us. The Everest goat curry (extra hot of course!) was superb with plenty of beautiful Nepalese flavours and all so fresh. Lovely light and fluffy saffron rice, good naan bread, and the sizzling chicken starter was great too. A very good meal indeed. Well done!

We came in a bit late, and the kitchen and waitress brought us the most tasty food. Naan really fluffy and fresh, Momo's tasty and the fish curry incredible. Definitely going back!

Here we have pictured, a small beef vindaloo and naan. At $12, this is a very reasonable, tasty lunch. The beef vindaloo is hotter than nearby Little India which I greatly appreciate. Their naan is on the flakey, light side, not stodgy.I've been here before and tried their goat curry and chicken skewers.Fully recommend!!

I don't often if ever give 5 stars but we had a lovely meal which included the goat curry, a chicken tikka masala and a mango lassi. These were by far the best meal we have had in Hobart over the last 9 days. The Everest Eatery should update their menu to highlight their gluten free dishes.

We ordered:- chicken kebabs (2), grilled, well seasoned. Recommend this as a starter.- joong chicken momo with a brothy sauce which was awesome - had a nice warming spice to the sauce and the filling. Really dense filling and fresh tasting wrapper. Came with about 8 momos, can't exact remember as was chowing them down.- lamb Rogan Josh, tender meat and nice flavours.- Everest goat curry. Came with bones and the meat needed to cook for longer, so it came out more chewy than we would have liked.- 2 portions of rice for 2 people, get one first and then see how you go.Got both the curries 'hot' which was only a little bit hot - not overpowering. Could do with a bit less salt.Staff were friendly, restaurant filled up on a weeknight evening which is always a good sign. Unfortunately no bathrooms on site, there was an option of a public bathroom around the corner but fortunately we were close enough to our accommodation so went there instead.Definitely recommend!

After trying several Nepalese and Indian cuisines(with all despair) in Hobart we found this small sort-of-cafe-restaurant eatery. This is really a gem in Hobart.Great taste comes from great people.Trust me, if you’re after something Nepalese, or taste from Nepal, try these guys. You’ll thank me later. We tried- Jhol Momo medium spice , Chicken curry and it was so delicious.Keep it up team.
