It's not everyday that you come across a South Indian food truck and further one that serves Chicken Salna. We bought a mixture of options to try1. Parotta with Chicken Salna - Chicken Salna is Chicken curry without much Chicken. It is a perfect combination in India and they hit the mark here. My only issue was that the parotta was cold by the time we got back home probably due to the wait time for the food but wouldn't raise too much of a concern.2. Pomfret Fish fry - honestly reminded me of home. The fish wasn't very spicy but packed with flavours.3. Onion uthappam - Could have been cooked a tiny bit more as a personal preference but overall was delicious with the chutneys provided.4. Prawn Thokku - Not something that I would generally buy back home but it was fantastic. Paired with the biriyani or the parotta, it went down with a bang.5. Mutton Biriyani - I can't rave any higher about this one. I was transported back home when I had my first bite and while I was full, I couldn't put my spoon down. The flavours were balanced and spice was just right thought I'm sure for an Indian it could have been spicier. Loved the raitha that came with it, complemented the biriyani well.Overall, a fantastic first experience, the prices were reasonable for the amount of food and the food tastes very homemade which was great. My only drawback from hitting a 5 star was the wait time for the food but I'm sure that will pick up slowly. Would definitely go back again - well done Biriyani Kadai

Now this is a place to try. They have menu items I've never ever seen before which is amazing if you like trying new food. The goat biryani is definitely the stand out here - must try whenever you see it on the menu! It's located at the back of the Indian spice store in a little alley/parking area, they also have covered outdoor seating if you're inclined to, but most people just do takeaway. The owners of the two businesses appear to be the same people. They accept cash and card (with no surcharge!) Nice! My only disappointment is the opening time was slightly later than the advertised time on Google but no biggie. The other thing was they said my order would be ready in 10-15mins... 35mins later I received my order - sure they were very apologetic about it - but this is not how you do expectations setting.

In between a 3 and 4 for us. We stumbled upon the food truck whilst having a walk around the area - they’re situated in this tiny alley of the Epping Hotel Bottle shop drive through. Great service - very friendly and helpful bunch of people. The Medhu Vadai ($4.9) was great - made fresh to order so it had really great crunch and crisp on the outside and warm, soft interior. A little dense inside but perhaps this could be a different variation of vadai perhaps to the ones we’ve had?The Chicken Kari Dosa ($13.9) was decent - a little thick for our liking and had only had a couple of small ‘boney’ pieces of chicken. Curry was great but I would’ve loved it if it was spicier. The Chicken Biryani ($15.9) was unique and different to most of the biryanis we’ve had that were Hyderabadi - great fragrance of ginger and garlic, almost like a south East Asian chicken rice. Generous portion of rice but again, didn’t have much protein in there.

Ordered dosa and biryani.Food : Dosa was fab !!! Biryani, because i never had authentic kadai biryani idk how its supposed to be but having tasted normal biryanis everywhere i'd give it a 3 star. I didn't like it much. Yet again it could be my palate and not knowing authentic tastes.Presnetation: very nicely presented. Served on a leaf both the dishes. Liked it.Customer service: marvelous !! Shinning stars for it. They were cheerful, came and talked to us at the table ,complimentary taste of desserts x 2.both - liked it.Price : good pricing, 2 dishes 2 drinks for $30.Location : easy location. Has cute basin to wash hands, dine in area-cozy and local.Overall: good food, good price, excellent service. Definitely recommended. :))
