Accidentally popped up in our sunflower trail route but it's closed. Can only take photos outside ;(

We only got to see the outside however you can get the gist of the room her father was in. Allora is a lovely little town.

Lorraine and Les have done a remarkable job of restoring this home, and passing on the history of this home! We had the best time, would definitely recommend a visit. Check to see when open.

Touring the house was really interesting. The restoration has been very well done. The tour conducted by Les the owner gave a lot of additional insights into the Mary Poppins story. Worth the visit.Willem and Gail

Wonderful place to visit. Greeted with hosts who treat the house as the place with stories to be shared. Mary Poppins is just part of its fantastical life .. take time and enjoy

If as a child you loved Mary Poppins like I did, this was bucket list stuff ! The childhood home of the author PJ Travers ❤. A wonderful step back in time. Allora on the Darling Downs of Australia, well worth a visit.

We had a lovely tour a few years ago, we were lucky the host was even dressed up in Mary Poppins style. My daughter loved the hats and throwing a tantrum mid tour. Still was interesting and fun.

This place is an absolute gem, especially if you get the tour with the owners. Great stories, wonderful history, well preserved.Please be aware, you cannot just turn up and expect them to be open, it is now by appointment only.

Well worth the visit and tour by the owner. They have done an incredible job at restoring this home. We really enjoyed the stories and the history.
