Charlie and team are amazing and reliable.There were almost 200 staff attending and enjoyed the Photo Booth and the Photo Booth staff are so accommodating of everyone. It’s value for money as everyone takes home some prints home and the props provided were awesome. The highlight of our Christmas Party was the fun we had taking photos with each other.

Charlie Sparx was recommended to us by one of our other wedding vendors. He had great reviews, located 10 minutes away from our venue, affordable and had a great DJ/Photo Booth deal. What could go wrong? So much!Getting in contact with him was like getting blood from a stone.His replies are weeks in between emails and something as simple as the song request list was sent to me 4 days before my event.I’m not going to lie, it got to the point that I assumed he wouldn’t show on the day because it didn’t really seem invested in my event I hired him for. But, I had signed a contract and I had a DJ and photo booth coming from him so I had to just trust he would show up.The Photo Booth was a great hit, they have many different backdrops but I requested not to have one as there is a painted mural on the wall. When I arrived they had a white floral backdrop set up. If the wall didn’t work and I had to have a back drop, it certainly wouldn’t have been that one. It did not suit my wedding at all and no one communicated with me. I sent photos of the area more than a week before asking if the wall was acceptable and I didn’t receive a response until the day before my event, Charlie had said everything was fine. Still don’t know why they set up the backdrop.In the late afternoon the day before my wedding, I received a phone call from the person who would be my DJ for the evening. I had to work through the entire runsheet with him step by step on the afternoon before my wedding day like I wasn’t busy enough. Of course it is not his fault I was busy but surly a phone call 24 hours before the event is cutting it a bit fine.For some reason, we had a miss communication on the bridal party entrance order. That happens, it was just a mistake but there was no music played for both our groomsman entrance and bridal party entrance. Yes, it was awkward.Then it was my husband and I entrance, we were last on the order list like we always meant to be but, he STILL didn’t play music for us until we sat down, so about a minute after we entered the room. He said he couldn’t hear but my Mum was standing right next to him queuing him, he was too busy arguing back with excuses and therefore couldn’t do his job.The genre of music I specifically requested was not fulfilled. He told me he wouldn’t play music people requested if he didn’t think I would like it- I requested punk, rock, alternative, dance, top 40, 2000’s, 90’s and 80’s funk. I also gave him plenty of examples. So I was pretty surprised when techno, hard style and Trance music started playing.My first dance song was by Queen and the song he thought best to follow that was 9 to 5 by Dolly Parton. A county song! That was definitely not on my request form.I don’t know how much clearer I could have been about the music request. I had filled out the form they gave us and it was not honoured.My maid of honour had to approach him on several occasions to speak to him, the DJ always had an excuse and never an apology. “Why aren’t you playing the requested ‘cutting of the cake’ song?”His reply “that not a cake, they are doughnut”Yes I told you that the day before, they are stacked up like a cake and the MC just announced it was time to gather to watch the cutting of the cake!Not a single one of my requested songs were played at the correct time. Why else would I have wanted to hire a professional DJ for my wedding?I honestly would have been better off asking a mate to press play on my Spotify playlist.I’m so disappointed, the biggest day of my life and the DJ ruined what was meant to be some of the most memorable moments of our day. I definitely did not get what I payed for, the level of professionalism was poor and I definitely would not recommend!

Has to be hands down one of the best experiences we have ever had!My wife's 40th Birthday was a big surprise and it was a very special occasion. A lot of family and friends attending and with kids in tow also.This is exactly what made using Charlie Sparx so much more special and awesome. The gentleman was extremely patient with the kids and with some of the over passionate adults!Aside from the fact also that Charlie Sparx was extremely competitively priced, they were just so easy to deal with, happy to have had access a little later for setup seeing as it was a surprise and best of all they stayed till the very end!Thanks Charlie Sparx for being part of our very special occasion!

Charli DJed for my daughter’s 16th birthday and did a great job. He had the teenagers on the dance floor most of the night and was able to adjust for the varying moods and demands of the evening.

Charlie and his team were great, and all our guests had a lot of fun with the mirrorbooth! Charlie was super easy to work with and he made adjustments wherever it was necessary with no hassles. I'd highly recommend him for any of your events

Charlie was the DJ for our wedding reception. He also supplied us with the dry ice machine, audio and projector. The team did an extraordinary job and we are so happy we chose them.He made everything really easy for us - answered all our questions, gave us heaps of ideas and provided advice on our runsheet. The bonus was that the dance floor went OFF and everyone loved it.Our day was perfect and we really thank Charlie and team for being part of our special day and sealing it with awesome music and dreamy dry ice techniques for our dance.

Sparx Events were one of the highlights of our wedding, especially for the guests. Everyone had so much fun taking photos.By the end of the night out photo book was full of so many photos. (So grateful for them giving us a photo book that we can look back on) would highly recommend Sparx Events and Entertainment for any event!

Dealing with Charlie from Sparx Events was seamless and professional. His customer service was exceptional and punctual.We booked him and his team for our company Christmas Party for 170 guests. We decided to book both the photo booth and the 360-video booth as a package.It made our celebrations a very memorable night and nothing was too much trouble for Charlie. He and his staff members on the night were polite and obliging to all the staff.I rang around and found Charlie very well priced and he followed up all my questions promptly.The props and backdrop were all co-ordinated and he customized a message on all the photos which matched our Christmas theme.He also followed me up to send me a link in case anyone missed their prints and video on the night.I will be booking in Charlie and his team from Sparx Events for all the family birthday parties in the New Year.

If you seriously want to turn your event from something boring to the maddest night out. I highly recommend Charlie Sparks this dude is immaculate with what he did and how he did it 100% professional and all your photos will look like Vogue just shot the event. Hands down the best night ever.
