Koala Shores Port Stephens Holiday Park
Disappointing stay. Very expensive for what we got. ‘Spa cabin’ was definitely not what the name implies. Yes it had a spa….but that’s where it ends. Jets were broken and chipped. Only got in to use the shower with piddly water pressure. Cooking utensils in the kitchen were unclean, I went to the local store and purchased plastic ones to use instead. Cabins need a good refurb, Very poor tv connection, couldn’t watch a thing. Plumbing was very noisy….I’m sure I woke the neighbours every time I turned on a tap. On-site Cafe was closed…had to drive into town for a decent coffee. Only thing the kids enjoyed was the pool….mini golf was flooded by the rain, tennis court had torn netting….very unappealing for the kids. Jetty on the beach is so old & rickety it’s an accident waiting to happen. Can’t understand why they charge so much?? Where does the money go? Definitely not back into the property. We checked out a day early-we couldn’t wait to leave.

The space and rooms of Koala House were perfect for our family gathering. The lack of supplies in the house like dishwasher detergent was annoying, considering the price we paid. The location was awesome.

Booked a power site early January, due to illness we couldn’t travel gave a weeks notice to cancel. Informed no cancellations so we asked for a credit for future use, no credits allowed so we thought we’d offer to friends… bookings non transferable. Impossible to deal with, won’t be staying there and we are telling everyone to stay clear. Would give a negative score if I could. Plenty of other options where you can get great customer service

We stayed at the Koala House for a couple of days. Had a private pool and spa + was allowed at all the park activities. Kids had an amazing time. The service was great, very friendly, kind and helpful staff and few bonuses during our stay. We'll definitely be back.

What a wonderul place for a quick weekend getaway. Fast and friendly service. Can book directly with aspen holidays. Right on the water with sand and pier for fishing and rocks for climbing. Kids loved the pool and playground. Rooms were wonderful but doors would stick and toilet seat was broken. Can do a local shop if any groceries forgotten and bait is available onsite or at the local servo.

If you want a winter vacation, this is a great spot. No kid noise, just native birds. Hundreds of kookaburras. An early morning swim in the river or pool. And maybe a little bit of rain.My room was clean and slightly modern. Had everything I needed and enough pillows for a good nights sleep.Only downside was wifi on 1 and 2 bars closer to the water.

Lovely pool and proximity to the inlet, perfect for little kids, inflatables, kayaks and the like.Amenities are fine, normal park like.Kids park not great at all. Jumping pillow is good. Rubbish point is out the front so a bit of a trek but fine.

This park was a delight. Several customers parked along the water front. The amenities block was kept clean. Staff were polite and professional.

We loved staying in this beautiful park, the sites are large, the facilities are clean and in good condition. There is lots of wildlife with regular visits from the Kookaburras and the water views. The pool is more than your ordinary rectangle one. There are two play areas for kids. The very friendly and helpful team is working to continually improve and update the park. There is a board walk along the shoreline to the town. Courtesy buses are available to the clubs for a meal and drink at reasonable prices. We are looking forward to returning sometime in the future.
