Food was quite nice,however being a public holiday the surcharge was quite a lot (15% extra).At no time were we made aware of this until it appeared on our bill- we were not told on booking or on ordering and when l complained on paying both the waiter/ waitress were talking together and ignored what l was saying until l again said excuse me did u hear what l said!"and had to repeat it. Not only lack of telling patrons about the public holiday surcharge but very rude staff as well."

An unpretentious spot for good food. Great for families, groups, couples or dining on your own. Been here twice and both times the service has been fast and friendly, and our meals have been delicious. The portion sizes were really generous on every dish we ordered. My friend with a gluten allergy had a decent selection of gluten-free meals to choose from, which is always a bonus.

Good food, fairly ok service - but it came out quick! I'd recommend putting a check-in qr code at the table as well. Drinks were quite nice

I had my 40th Birthday at The Groove Train Epping with approximately 35 people attending. The food was fantastic, service was awesome and all the staff were polite and helpful. For a group this size plus the usual walk ins, the restaurant done extremely well and there were no wait times on our orders. Thankyou to all the staff who made my birthday a pleasant experience, I will definitely be visiting again.

My very first time here for company team dinner. Had rump steak medium rare with pepper sauce and it was just so good. It also came with potatoes wedges which was well seasoned and for side had chips which was good too. So much to choose from in the menu. My colleague had calamari and it was so crunchy out and soft inside. Lamb curry looked good too, sad that I couldn’t try that as I don’t eat lamb but beef curry would be great. Mango juice was nice and refreshing.Would definitely recommend

Ordered Chicken Parmigiana and Nadi Goreng. Chicken parmigiana was just warm not feel like fresh cook. The Nasi Goreng was tasted good!

A great, funky place for a casual wine and share plate. Surprisingly mellow Shiraz to accompany the eggplant chips. The music was a bit loud and we were struggling to yell over it, but they kindly turned it down a but for us. So 5 star for the experience. Well definitely be back.
