The Basin Backyard

There is nothing NOTHING… like honey from a bee keeper. I’ll never go back to store bought! And Michael’s honey is the bees knees (sorry not sorry for the bee pun).The basin back yard sells all kinds of honey but my favourite is the mixed blossom. We get it in the 1kg jar and it’s amazing all the way to the last drop. You can catch the basin backyard at many local markets or at their little shop in knoxfield. I having been buying their honey since they have been selling the jars from their home and I have loved it since I tried the first jar.As always I try an source local, with the least food miles and sustainable food sources. The basin backyard ticks all those boxes. Also looks like I’m almost out of honey again so time to refill the jar - they also do refills ❤️

Absolutely love this honey. I have suffered terribly from seasonal allergies for years. Since using the Mixed Blossom Honey daily, I have not suffered from allergies. For myself it has been a natural cure.Wonderful staff to add to the experience.

Best honey in the area! Absolutely the only honey we ever buy, hope to be a longstanding loyal customer.Maybe coincidental but after buying local honey and using it instead of sugar, my young kids' asthma and hayfever events have decreased. Pinch of salt, but still.

My emails regarding postal delivery were very promptly answered. I was provided with additional help with how to use and store my purchase which was fantastic. Michael was very helpful, nothing was too much trouble. My package arrived quickly and well wrapped. Will definitely use their services again.

Just wanted to give a shout out to Michael from the Basin Backyard for being a great human! I was struggling to carry something heavy to my car and Michael saw me from the street and he kindly offered to help me. When the item didn't fit in my car, he very generously offered to go out of his way to drive it to my place. I wanted to say a big thank you for his random act of kindness from a stranger - it is very much appreciated. Since then, I've had a look through The Basin Backyard's website and their range of gifts are fantastic! I'm excited to try the honey and purchase some lovely items for family members for their birthdays. Thank you again, Michael!

Very friendly and helpful, reasonably priced and a neat range of beekeeping supplies and products for other hobbies, like cheese and yogurt making. Will definitely bee back!

Not only do they sell delicious honey, but we attended a great Camembert cheese workshop too. It was informative, friendly and fun and we got to see and help make Camembert, Ricotta and Halloumi.Whilst legislation prevents you taking home any of the cheese, there was a generous amount of cheese to taste and the Stilton was amazing!

We are new to beekeeping and called on Michael to help us with our hives. Happy we did so, Michael was very helpful, full of useful information and generous with his time. Would highly recommend his bee mentoring service.
