Food was great but when I tried to buy 4 snack packs the manager straight told me “no”. She ‘let’ me buy two, but was very rude about it and the reasoning she gave me was that there wouldn’t be enough meat to serve anyone else. There was a lot of meat there. Very confused and more than a little ticked off.

Service was good at the start, the girls greeted me politely. I asked for a bit of extra seasoning on my chips and they happily obliged. Then the manager came out from the back and started filling my chips up, as she walked over i politely asked if she could sprinkle a bit of extra seasoning on the top, as i did not want her to pour it all out again, to which she responded with attitude that i’m supposed to ask before she does the chips. I said that i did, and she looked at her staff members unpleasantly. When she came back over, she repeated again to me that next time i need to ask before the chips are done. I again, agitatedly said, i had already asked, and took my meal without another word. I had also been overcharged for my meal, as its 11.90 for the kebab +$6 for the meal and $1 for cheese, yet i was charged almost $20 dollars, only to have the kebab not be folder properly and the whole thing fall out. It was impossible to eat and i basically just paid for lamb as they barely put any other condiments that i asked for on it. Worst experience i have ever had at a restaurant, my first time at alibaba and i will never go back. The only saving grace was how delicious the lamb was, since that was all i pretty much got. If you’re going to get annoyed over giving extra salt to a customer, maybe find a different job.

While I would have recommended this place a year or so ago, the quality and service has dropped dramatically. You frequently get overcharged, and there are so many hidden prices. Cheese isn't even included anymore, it costs almost $1 extra for this standard on bread-style kebabs.

I was working here, I'm Spanish. I came to Australia with a big desire to live the experience and working here it was the worst experience of my life. She (manager) is CRAZY!! All the time screaming me at the kitchen for stupid things. I have suffered psychological abuse andI just want to warn the next victims to work there. Be careful all of you!! It's not fair that nobody stop this crazy woman.She is always looking for staff because everyone runs away to another job. It's so sad

The manager out the back doing the meat was so rude. Not at all nice to her staff and not at all friendly to me or other customers. Best part was there was a sign that said looking for staff

First time I’ve eaten at Ali Baba. I expected the kebabs to be the same as all the other kebab places, apparently not. I was very disappointed and to make it worse it was swimming in oil, it was pouring out, it was disgusting, I ate half and threw the rest out… and I’mPretty confident I was over charged. Never going back to any Ali baba.

My wife and I got a large chicken and chips snack pack for $19.90 to share.I expected it to be just enough for two people, but it’s easily enough for 4 - 6 peoples.Huge servings, good food and very friendly service.

Microwaved, doughy, no fillings. Meat lovers pide. If you like dry, undercooked dough eat here. Otherwise in my view avoid . Not kidding when I say the worst I have ever had. Next to zero meat fillings. Tasteless and I mean tasteless. Best thing in the meal was the piece of lemon.

I love the beef kebabs here and at all the Ali Baba stores. It is hard to find just beef kebabs on the Gold Coast, most have beef and lamb mixed. The only disappointment is the don't put much lettuce or tomato on.. 3 thin half slices of tomato, 4 if your really lucky.. I don't think it would hurt them to put some more on.. and they probably lose customers due to this.. but not many options around for a pure beef kebab.

As a former employee of this restaurant, I would like to express my displeasure with the manager. His management was based on humiliating us in every way. No one in this shop wants to work here, the anxiety you have every shift is insane and it affects our performance. I just want new employees to know that you don't work here, that your mental health is more important than your paycheck, and there are many different places to work better than here.
