Our 50/50s house reno by GSC ended as a happily ever after (sustainable design award! Green mag spread!) but started off as a hospital handpass. We were stuck in a renovation quagmire when we were referred to Shae and Green Sheep Collective. Shae, Mel and Arli were calm, pragmatic and engaged with the ambitious brief - Hollywood Gondwanaland - so the joy of the project came back. The result? Light and space, shade and crossdrafts, tons of storage and bench space for projects and future-proofed shelving that means we can keep buying 1.5 metres of books per year. Magnificent building and attention to detail thanks to James McBride and Associates. It was a delight to live in with kids and dog even during the world's longest lockdown. And it's a dream to clean! We worked with Green Sheep Collective for the design of our renovation and deck. This was during covid lockdowns so was all done online. We couldn't be happier with the design and the service received. Extremely professional, fantastic design that we can't fault and beyond what we had thought was possible within the existing walls of our small house, easy to communicate with and have followed up as we (slowly) get started on the build. Definitley recommend for any size job.

I was wanting to create a renovation using environmentally sustainable principles. I also had a limited budget but keen to balance both aspects. I was impressed with the ideas the GSC brought to the job, many things i would just not have thought of and as a result we have a smaller but more functional space, with great use of light and shade and a warm lovely home to live in. It was a pleasure to work with the architect who was extremely patient with my many questions and the thinking through i needed to do to feel it was right for me. I would thoroughly recommend this company for any job. They are professional, inspiring and considerate of your goals and plans.

We renovated our single fronted Victorian instead of moving to another house and it was a great decision. We have lived in the renovated house for a little over 4 years now and it has been a great pleasure. The house is attractive, light and importantly it keeps us warm in winter and very comfortable in summer without the need for excessive heating/cooling. It was built and designed using largely sustainable materials. Both the Architect (Green Sheep Collective) and Builder (Excelsior Master Builder) were very responsive to our needs and guided us through what can be a stressful and overwhelming time, with ease and care and made the whole process a pleasure. Our favorite part of the process was working collaboratively with Shae, the Architect, to design the floor plan that we had envisioned but were unable to draw without her expert assistance. The layout of the house is now perfect for our needs and has been flexible enough to happily house our growing family of four. We love how the house opens up onto the deck and garden with large windows and glass bifold doors, which let in light, and help to warm the house in winter, whilst also allowing us to have indoor/outdoor living. We really love our home and cannot imagine moving.

We chose Green Sheep Collective as our architects for renovation of an older house and are very happy with the result.The home has been transformed from a turn of the century home to a turn of century home with all the pleasures of light, open spaces, warmth, addition of a beautiful studio and the preservation of the sense of outdoor space.Green Sheep and the excellent builder they suggested have worked together seamlessly to achieve this transformation.The attention to detail is one of the outstanding features of the way the project has been run.Green Sheep promote sustainability and this theme was prominent throughout the whole undertaking.They were available whenever needed and were predictably organised and efficient.We hadn't anticipated that our home could be so beautiful and are grateful to Green Sheep for the amount of their work, thought and imagination that allowed this to happen.
