Unfortunately there had been an unusually high amount of rain before my mate and I arrived.Owners REALLY helpful in picking a site for us and let us use a double site for no extra as it is the quiet time of year.Everything is clean and tidy and works as it should. Pool is nice and pretty handy to town.No worries here!

Nice park and close to town. Shady and secluded spots available. Courtesy bus operates for most of the pubs in town so easy to go out and have a few drinks. Check beforehand as it was not running the night we wanted to go out.Great camp kitchen. Helpful and friendly owners. Very clean amenities.The camp advertised 'no sandflies', I think that was pretty spot on, however the one sandfly floating around sought me out - many little blisters later - ouch.

Had a great time in this park. Hosts were very accommodating. Very clean amenities and the pool was great. Has a very tropical feel with the gardens around your site

What a hidden gem.. lady Les showed me around to find a good unpowered site and I said I’m giving this place 5 stars before I moved in. Pool is very clean, camp kitchen leaves all I’ve stayed at in their wake.. some times of the year might be busier but in January with all the rain it was very quiet. Fishing too.. wish I’d stayed longer.

Very friendly hostsPark is lovely and quiet.Only a short distance to Cooktown lookouts, Captain Cook and local heritage sites.IGA, restaurants, post office, bottle shops about 2 min drive.Sites are quite big and some nestled away, powered and non powered.Bathroom amenities kept very clean and tidy.Pool area also maintained wellDump pointNo sand fliesPets welcome.Great little park, definitely worth a visit and great base camp to visit all surrounding adventures.
