Leichhardt GP Local Doctors

Clean, and very organised practice. Some of the doctors do run late but it’s worth the wait. One of the new receptionists here can be insensitive, i’ve experienced this in person and over the phone. I’ve been coming here to see Dr. South for years and i can confidently say that the lack of compassion and care by some of the receptionists do not, in any way reflect the kindness and compassion from some of the doctors, especially doctor south. I have seen the doctors here treat their patients with utmost respect and care, it is a shame that the receptionists no longer do the same. They were once amazing and incredibly kind.I understand that life can be difficult, but due to the nature of this industry. You’ve got some of the most vulnerable people here seeking treatment for their illnesses/ and or discomfort and showing a little compassion and kindness would go an incredibly long way. May you and your loved ones be free from suffering and may you always have peace in your heart, and hopefully in future. Your words too.Looking forward to my next appointment :)

Made the mistake of calling three minutes before their lunchbreak was left on hold and then promptly hung up on, when I called again the message told me to call back after 1.30 pm because they were on lunch, what kind of lazy trogoldytes do you have on your reception desk? tell them to pull finger

Mask policy is fine, just tell your patients on the phone prior to booking!Drop the attitude when you catch them off guard about it as well and be a bit pleasant about it and you might not need so many passive aggressive signs.Also it’s all well and good to take appointments, but keeping them shows you actually respect your patients. An hour to wait after being demanded to go fetch a mask like a child isn’t ideal.

I have been a patient with this practise for over 30 years, the doctors are all thorough & caring ,Dr Dale Wilson is amazingly caring & a great doctor. The office manager Penny is great as well, along with all the reception staff. I believe I am fortunate in having doctors that put patients before $$$.Sometimes they run late but that's a small price to pay & I think it's the sign of a good doctor, if you need extra care you get it.

I’ve been going to this practice for over 20 years. I’ve seen roughly 5 of their doctors. Recently they’ve stopped bulk billing so I now see a different doctor. I thought leichhardt gp had good doctors but since seeing this new doctor who has made more progress than any doctor at leichhardt for the past decade, I’ve realised they weren’t very good to begin with. I have an autoimmune disease for 5 years which they kept writing off as depression, laziness, bad diet or go around in circles with 40 blood tests of the exact same thing… which lead to no further investigation. Definitely wasted too many years at this practice. One appointment with this new doctor who actually listened to me and I’m now on the right path to recovery.

As a new patient to the clinic I was impressed with the reception team who were helpful over the phone and in person. I saw Dr Kate Robertson, whoI thought was just brilliant. She c ame across as exceptionally knowledgeable, thorough, friendly and caring. Thanks team!

I am a new patient to this medical centre, and I’ve been very impressed by it so far. The reception staff are the friendliest I’ve ever encountered at a GP ( I’ve met some incredibly unfriendly ones!) and were incredibly welcoming at my first visit. I haven’t had to wait long at all for my appointments, which has been greatly appreciated! Dr Joanna Lin is excellent. My first appointment with her was in the late afternoon and I was so impressed by how kind and friendly she was and how she took the time to get to know me as a new patient. I’ve found her incredibly knowledgeable, patient in answering my questions and very reassuring. I’ll definitely continue seeing Dr Lin and this clinic.

I've been going here for a year. Have seen a few dr's and they have all been lovely. Currently being looked after by dr South for my second pregnancy and she's amazing! The reception staff are also excellent! And an extra bonus is they have a small kids area which my toddler enjoys and in the drs room they have a small basket of toys.

Went in with bad case of tonsillitis. Doctor completely misdisagnosed me and sent me away with more over the counter products. The following day I had to rush to hospital for emergency treatment as I was struggling to breath. When I spoke with management soon after, they first got legal advice and then called me back denying any responsibility. Her only defence she could offer was that if I had had better health insurance I wouldn't have had to pay. Best to avoid if you don't want to have to follow up with a second GP visit elsewhere.
