Picked up a load of mill end firewood . The guy that knew nothing told me it was well seasoned after i asked if was wet. Do not buy fire wood from hear it will put your fire out instead of burning. I won't buy firewood hear again

Paid for two loads of premium mixed firewood. They simply don't burn. They also smoke a whole lot. I suspect they were either not seasoned or kept exposed to the elements (i.e. rain). If necessary, I suggest buying their firewood a season early and season it yourself. Or buy from someone else.

Local supplier, very competitive price, staff is very polite. Great for pick up your own. Delivery on the other hand is terrible, I live 5 mins away and needs firewood delivery. I was told within 2 hours, now it has been almost 4 hours, still waiting, can’t contact staff since they close at 1pm on Sunday. Day is ruined!!

I have ordered lots of mulch from Paynes (as I am a gardener) and recently they double charged both me and my client for the mulch. It took them 10weeks to refund me and this was after heaps of phone calls, then they said to come in in person so they could pay cash and even when we went in they did not pay. Very pathetic and slow in response to them double charging when it was their fault! Wasted so much of our time. I would not go with them if you want someone reliable.

Terrible customer service- we phoned questioning whether a delivery was correct as the quantity seemed smaller than we’d previously received and we were abused and threatened over the phone with disgusting language. We’ve never received such bad customer service and are appalled with how the matter was dealt with.
