Happy with the service when we had a problem with our 10 month old van. Follow up repair was needed so they promised they will sort this out with manufacturers. Never got back to us. We tried to to get an answer but they consistently came up with excuses. Told us if we want to pay for the tap ourself - no warranty- it will cost 3-4 hours labour plus the tap plus the sink might be destroyed too. After 2 weeks of trying to get any kind of answer I fixed the problem myself for $14. Really bad customer service - would definitely not recommend this place.

Great stock, unfortunately no salesman, not even after 45 minutes of looking, even stood at the front waiting. One person approached looked up but decided to make a phone call instead. Bought a brand new caravan the next day at Jayco.

We went in to look at vans to buy. The sales assistant was next to useless. Couldn't or wouldn't answer our questions about the two vans we were looking at. Felt like he thought we were just wasting his time. Won't be back

Bought a floor stock essential van from these guys end of last year. We weren’t that happy with the service from day 1 but unfortunately they were one of the only dealers that had stock so had no choice but to buy from them. We were promised a washing machine to be installed into the van at the end of January ( 1 month after buying) this was written in the contract. Then was told they couldn’t get their hands on one for months. I sourced one myself ( wasn’t very hard ) that they paid for and had it installed end of February finally. Install Job was pretty rough so had to fix it when I got home as I didn’t want them to touch it again. Had a few warranty issues which they took ages to get answers for. Essential caravans are unreal to deal with directly in Melbourne. Dave benson are rubbish and palm off all their warranty work as they are incapable or can’t be bothered with it. Do yourself a favour and go to Ian grants in vic if you’re after an essential van!

Took my jayco camper to dbc repairs on October 4 and rang them back on January 4 to be told they couldn't fix it. I picked up the van and they told me they looked at it and couldn't fix it. Lucky enough I found another repairer called northern caravan repair he rang me one week later and told me it was all fixed simple job just a broken cable. I believe dbc repairs didn't even look at it. RAA approved repairer?

Brilliant team at Dave Benson Honest and professional. Every member friendly and welcoming. Excellent service from the minute we walked in. They didn’t just tell us what we wanted to hear, they went through everything with us giving us both pro’s and con’s . Can’t rate all of the guys high enough, Dominik ,Shane , Kylie and all the others we have seen along the way thanks you have a very rare team all committed and dedicated at making sure your customers come away on top of the world

I was looking for a off road caravan and met with David Cap who took the time to show us every off road caravan as well as some used models. I have been a many dealers and felt pressure but not with David. It was like talking to a mate about what I wanted. He made the whole experience exceptional. David is a professional and knows the caravans inside and out. Will highly recommended Dave Benson Caravans and the friendly sales consultant David Cap.

We put down a $500 deposit on a new caravan at the recent Caravan and Camping show with the full assurance that we would get a refund if we did not want to proceed. We told them that we would go to their showroom on a Saturday afternoon to either proceed or get a refund. So this afternoon my partner went to ask for a refund. He was told it can only be done during the week.My partner insisted and supposedly it was processed by the manager. On arriving home he checked his bank account and discovered that they withdrew another $500 instead of refunding. He then went back to get a $1000 refund. We will not be buying anything from Dave Benson Caravans.

Bought a new network RV last year. Every interaction with the staff has been hopeless, salesman didn’t reply to emails, did not respond to calls, didn’t give info on correct prices. Had a few minor warranty issues that were approved by Network - van left at at DBC for a month and nothing done. Still chasing the warranty repairs 6 months later. Every time we call or email there’s a new staff member there who lasts a month then leaves . Clearly poor business management and serious staffing issues. Do not buy from this company they have the worst customer service I have ever experienced anywhere
