Mt Glorious Getaways

The most quiet, most peaceful trip we've had so far. Great to get away from city life. Will definitely stay again

Unfortunately would not recommend the homestead. My friend and I stayed with children thinking it would be a lovely stay to get come peace and quiet where the kids could enjoy the gardens and outdoors. Whilst the gardens were lovely and we had some stunning walks the accommodation was sub standard. The homestead is tired. Bathrooms were old and we had black gunk coming from our taps, toilet seat slipped off, mouldy showers. Kitchen well equipped but certainly not private. Whilst the website and booking details that from time to time there will be cleaners and gardeners that come to an area of the house, the reality is there are many rooms in the house that are one way opening into the house and there was constantly either gardeners or cleaners coming and going. Blowers, mowers, hedge trimmers were always in the background during the day. This really bothered us as we were wanting a “getaway” and to enjoy the gardens and quiet. It also concerned us that there were always adults around the house when we have children staying. There was no phone or WiFi. It was intermittent at best and I had to drive to Samford to make an important call. Please also note the photos represented here are not the furniture and layout in the homestead. Only one tv and no beanbags which the kids were disappointed about. The best thing was the fire which was welcome on a particularly cold and windy day. We did walk down to the cottages and they looked nice. Sadly we won’t be recommending the homestead as it was not good value or the experience we booked.

My partner and I had a very lovely weekend here. We stayed in the Kingfisher and it was exactly as shown in the websites pictures. Everything was set up beautifully for us upon arrival, including a filled fireplace ready to be lit. The cabin was only 900m from the beginning of four hikes so perfectly located.

My partner and I had a very relaxing weekend. The cabins are gorgeous, very comfortable and charming. The fire is easy to light and really warms up the whole cabin. Bed was amazing, and so very comfortable. The cabins are outfitted with everything you could possibly need - cooking oil, salt & pepper, supply of tea, coffee and milk, toiletries, body wash, dish washing liquid - (Liane and Rollie have thought of everything) - you just need to bring your own food. The BBQ is easy to operate and cooks beautifully. The walks around the area are glorious, and really allow you to have some quiet and down time, as well as breathing in some fresh mountain air. I cannot recommned this place highly enough. It is exceptioanlly good value for money, and we will definitely be back. It really is a Glorious Getaway.

Wonderful, just wonderful. We had a roaring fire inside while a storm raged outside. The cabin we were in was so cosy, and it truly felt like we were the only people for miles. Just a wonderful secluded weekend away.

We stayed at the Kingfisher cabin with my partner and we loved it! Very cosy, every window has rainforest views. The perfect weekend gateway in nature - but with the comfort of a couch and a fireplace. We spent most of our time watching cheeky birds from the windows or the balcony. The bird identification books we found in the cabin came handy ;-)A real gem, we will definitely come back when we'll want to escape the city life!

Stayed at the Yellow Robin cabin, has an amazing view from the deck area with a bbq and picnic table. Inside the cosy clean cabin you'll find everything you need for a secluded getaway in the rainforest. Saw many Australian fauna and animals and the nearby bush walks and hikes are amazing with different levels of agility and times to suit your needs. Make sure to pack plenty of food and drinks as there are no nearby shops, otherwise you'll be set. The fireplace comes with everything complimentary you may need for a cosy fire.

Best weekend ever. We have stayed in so many places, but hands down our weekend at Mt Glorious Getaways was the most private and relaxing - can't believe it's only an hour from Ipswich (less from Brisbane!). The photos on the website just don't do it justice. The cottage was gorgeous, comfortable and so cosy - coffee on the balcony, wine and cheese in front of the fire, a good book in the super comfy bed... We felt like we were the only people on the planet, but the place was fully booked! We stayed in the Kingfisher cottage and were totally surrounded by rainforest; all we could hear were the birds, the breeze through the trees, and some beautiful rain on our second night. Such a hidden gem! We'll be getting married here next May. If you love surrounding yourself in nature and enjoy the quiet, this is the place for you.

Seriously, a tranquil piece of heaven less than an hour from Brisbane. We stayed in the Yellow Robin" cabin and relaxed for the first time in months. The bed was super comfy and inviting. Exactly what you want in a cosy 'log cabin'. The fire place was ready to go on arrival

An excellent place to relax in the peaceful tranquillity of D’Aguilar National Park. The cabins are very comfortable and with everything one needs, including a fireplace. We will return.
